I don’t think your HOA would approve.

But if you knew someone on the board....

Favorite pastime of 75% of the population of South Georgia come New Years . It ain’t the rednecks, in case you are wondering. Even had a dumb sheriff’s deputy get caught using his service weapon to celebrate one year. Needless to say he lost that job, especially since he was with his cousin the convicted felon.

Most places with dense populations frown on it- my condo assn won’t let me see if I can shoot at the right angle to get some to drop in the pool...

The system, which covers 18 square miles of Pittsburgh -- around ⅓ of the city -- uses powerful microphones to detect and locate gunshots, and occasionally misreads fireworks as a firearms discharge.

=snip=

If you don’t see an officer that evening, you might still get a knock on the door in the days that follow, he added, because ShotSpotter can often pin down the address from which a gun was fired.

So, they admit they get false positives. Would bet that a car backfiring would do the same. Yet, they are going to ticket people without any other evidence. Sounds like typical revenue enhancement efforts by the city tax collectors in blue.

One would think this kind of crap would be ridiculously easy to fight in court.

.....”Pitt seems to be an intellectual sinkhole”.....

I didn’t get a good vib when first arriving in the area. So I relocated about an hour away to a much smaller city and never looked back. People here at least understand common sense!
