An elected county district attorney can refuse to prosecute anything he chooses not to prosecute.

Where were all these folks supporting sanctuaries when voting was going on last November? We here in Prince George ensured our delegates supported the 2nd Amendment. A lot of other localities didn’t. They were warned. YOU DON’T VOTE...YOUR RIGHTS GO AWAY!

It remains to be seen whether the General Assembly will actually pass the proposed bills or whether the Governor will sign them into law if they do.

If and when they do, we’ll see what happens.

Guess again, buddy.

Many people are getting fed up with the way things are going and don’t give a rip if people who were elected to represent them betray that vote and don’t like us taking matters into our own hands.

They either can represent the people who voted them in or they can leave office.

Can state law violate the 2nd Amendment?

I doubt it.

It would be an interesting case in court, but for the time being, I would say *No*.

The violent suppression of Constitutional rights by the state strips the state of all moral and legal justifications to enforce that action. The state then becomes nothing more than a violent gang of murderous terrorists and common brigands.

And the state can’t pass laws that are unconstitutional. The counties are following the law - the state is violating it. Any state trooper that enforces it should be arrested by the county sheriff.

Gun control laws have no constitutional basis.

The Supreme Court could have prevented all the controversy around the Second Amendment years ago by upholding individual rights instead of allowing individual state, city and county governments to erode these rights. But no, they allowed continual weakening of gun rights because it sounded good and perhaps was a means of fund raising for opposing candidates. Now we have a national hodgepodge of gun laws that can turn honest citizens into felons by crossing a jurisdiction line or possessing a piece of plastic.

If state law permits, Virginians should start a recall effort against those likely to vote for the stricter gun control laws. If not an option, lawyer up and prepare to fight in the courts until an election can be held and hopefully oust those who would limit gun rights. Virginia has started the ball rolling for gun rights and hopefully it will become a national movement.

Yo Mark.

The Second amendment makes everyone a “sanctuary” individual. Not a city, nor a state, but the entire country of U.S. citizens.

Act accordingly.

Neither local governments nor local constitutional officers have the authority to declare state statutes unconstitutional

They didn't declare them unconstitutional, you moron. They ARE unconstitutional, on the state and federal level.
