Gardner used his victory speech 6 years ago to say that government shutdown and impeachment of Obama were off the table, after having runon a so-called Conservative, Tea Party platform. I read the article about Scott Tipton on Wikipedia. He sounds like a fairly conservative Republican, but the article didn’t mention any Second Amendment issues. Maybe Lauren should put herself in a position to try to take down a Democrat incumbent rather than a fellow conservative.
