President Trump on Sunday accused Justice Department Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz of overlooking bias within the FBI and returned to his claim that "Obama knew everything" about the bureau's investigation of Trump campaign associates.
Trump leveled the accusation after the IG released a report last week saying the FBI did not act out of political motivation when investigating Trump’s 2016 campaign’s ties to Russia. Trump honed in on the fact that Horowitz was appointed by President Obama in his tweet.
“As bad as the I.G. Report is for the FBI and others, and it is really bad, remember that I.G. Horowitz was appointed by Obama,” he posted. “There was tremendous bias and guilt exposed, so obvious, but Horowitz couldn’t get himself to say it. Big credibility loss. Obama knew everything!”
While the Horowitz report concluded the bureau did not launch the investigation for political reasons, it did cite a number of mistakes made by the FBI during the probe.

They weren’t “mistakes”, Jim.
Why, no less a figure than Ambassador and National Security Advisor Susan Rice put it all down in her famous email:
“President Obama began the conversation by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities ‘by the book’. The President stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book.”
Surely this is more than enough evidence that wonderful, patriotic President Obama could have had nothing to do with the situation.
Sure obama knew. He’s an enemy to this nation.
As I recall, some of the text messages said potus wanted to be kept in the loop.
Of course POSObama knew. He ordered it and Clapper has confirmed it.
One thing I’ve learned from Trump’s tweets. When he says he suspects that “Obama knew everything”, Trump KNOWS that for a fact and has the proof. You can take that to the bank.

It sure would be interesting to know the truth about how he got to where he got. It sure wasn’t due to hard work and determination on his part. The path was paved with gold the whole way.

A gross misstatement of the actual conclusion, of course. No one ADMITTED being biased. The IG could not prove bias by the evidenciary record, which is the absurdly high bar the IG set for himself.

For the last two years, I have pointed out that Trump retained Obama Inspectors General at:
(1) Department of State
(2) Department of Defense
(3) EPA (who helped destroy Scott Pruitt)
(4) DOJ (includes FBI)
(5) CIA
(6) Intelligence Community
(7) IRS Tax Compliance
(8) Department of Homeland Security
Update: Within the last six months, Trump has appointed new IGs to a couple of the agencies and departments on this list.
Regardless - Trump's decision to do NOTHING about Obama’s IGs for 30 months was incomprehensible negligence!
I want to know why Horowitz still has his job.
Horowitz himself is biased to not see the bias in the 3 years witch hunt. The government was so full of corruption and he can’t see it??? He’s not dumb... he’s biased.
And YES obama knew all about this... NOTHING went on without his cooperation.. he had to be the head of anything and everything.. and I’d bet the farm he threatened anyone who would say so... if you look at who he was in those 8 years, it’s not hard to see he was the kingpin. And the color of his skin made him safe from even the news media.. they all did not speak against him nor work against him.. what he said was done.. He used all he had at his disposal.. IRS for example.. against citizens and persons around him knew who he was.

how do these shills repeat this line without saying report did not find “documentary” or “testimonial” evidence of bias? though ever that is a lie, given what is already in the public domain.

Excellent post. Will you please enlighten FR readers here of which IGs have been replaced. Clearly it was not Horowitz, but Trump’s other problem... impeachment devolves from a poltically partisan “Intel Community” IG who changed the terms of a “whistleblower” for the sake of yet another assault on the President’s office.
Hearsay being allowed for a whistleblower to make a complaint. And also the very FACT that a whistleblower may NOT address the Executive Branch and Commander in Chief in a “complaint” that is not witnessed personally by them, and for that matter ANY complaint made, is not as a whistleblower and could not be.
