I’m a practicing Catholic and I’m not happy that this is happening to the Southern Baptists.
Evil is spreading. Any acceptance of this crap will make it harder to return to normalcy.
What do you recommend?

This is insanity. I used to joke about acceptance of the LGBT agenda being the Mark of The Beast. I’m pretty sure that this is a precursor. If you bow before the god of the LGBT pride movement, then your soul is in mortal danger.
I agree with you.
I’ve left my denomination over this stuff, and I don’t have a home yet. I’ve visited a number of churches, and just haven’t found a good fit yet. There’s a few that I’ve liked, but it’s hard to decide.
The people can always vote with their feet and their wallets. They need to do so.

I actually went to his church’s website and asked that question. I never got a response. No surprise. Apostasy is everywhere these days. Satan is working overtime.
If the situation is reverse and THEIR churches get infested with liberal leaders -- even if they are the to the LEFT of "marxist atheist liberal Pope Francis" -- everyone shrugs their shoulders and goes "gosh, that's just the way ALL churches are going these days. Nothin' we can do about it. Oh well!"
I remember a couple years back the previous leader of the SBC was yapping about how a "path to citizenship" for illegal aliens was what Jesus would do. FReepers just shrugged their shoulders and said the SBC leader has no power anyway and pays attention to who the SBC President is.
Of course if the Pope said that, they'd immediately begin trashing Catholics for allowing it, and demand we leave the Catholic Church over it. Then they'd sneer about how that just shows why "works based" theology is false and that how "bible based" churches wouldn't err that like (even though they DO!)
Good thing Jesus ditched those spineless Apostles.

In my long view, it seems that beginning some time ago the SBC was targeted by the “Christian left”, and both its seminary students and its seminaries were deliberately corrupted to produce a generation of “progressive trained” SBC leaders to, out of POLITICAL intent, subvert the direction of the SBC.

Try ordaining a woman to serve as pastor of a Roman Catholic church and see what happens.
