Barr said there was a lot going on ‘around’ the FBI, by various outside players, that wasn’t Horowitz’s subject matter, but that has a direct bearing on what was going on inside the FBI.

His comments on the limited scope and information and rules of the Horowitz investigation are spot on.
His comments on not taking any shortcuts in the Durham investigation are also correct.
If you are going to indict a former President you need to be make sure everything is exactly perfect.

George P. met with Joseph Mifsud in April, 2016. Mifsud brought up the topic of Russians having “dirt” on Hillary. And George said it appeared Mifsud was recording the conversation. So, that would push the start back to at least April, if not earlier.
What about the comment about there being a Durham report and that it won't be out until possibly early summer.
I don't think that's encouraging.
Rush picked up on the same phrase I mentioned yesterday, and which is part of Barr’s remark aabout the evidence standard. Horowitz said in some cases he could not find “documentary or testimonial evidence to support” a claim. That just means no one he talked to (DOJ/FBI employees) admitted it, had documents proving it, or were willing to testify about someone else doing it. In other words, existing employees did not wish to play “you bet your pension” to rat someone out.
Completely different rules apply to Durham’s investigation and any others that may occur.
When no one confesses to stealing Little Johnny’s lunch money, the Principal gets involved.

Yep. It’s pretty apparent this is leading up to a “declining to prosecute the guilty for the good of country” bad ending. We’ll get a Durham Report laying out the crimes and who is guilty and then a Comeyesuqe presser where Barr sheds a tear or two about the Constitution, etc. Then it will be back to business as usual inside the beltway.

Respectfully disagree. Call witnesses before a Grand Jury. Make them hire expensive lawyers. You need to put the pressure on witnesses to get them to turn on the others. The only way to get to the bottom is to get at least one, if not more, people to flip.
The longer they take, and get into campaign season, the more political it’s going to look.
Worst case scenario, Trump loses the election, and then we find out there was a conspiracy against him in 2016.
BTW, there is no question in my mind, the Dems are more than prepared to fix the 2020 election. Ballot harvesting is a tried and effective method.
So fire Horowitz and Wray, and start arresting the coup plotters and criminals already.

only the Durham criminal investigation timeline was a bit disappointing … and Barr did not say there would be a report. however, it sounded like action could be taken against some individuals. the sooner the better.
Somewhat reasonable interview by Williams, of course the leftists wanted Williams to stab Barr in the heart. If I were a coup plotter, I’d be wetting myself as I watched this. I think Barr is dead serious about seeing justice done. The stooge press will go full crucifixion mode on Barr now.
