WASHINGTON—The Trump administration is considering a significant expansion of the U.S. military footprint in the Middle East, including dozens more ships, other military hardware and as many as 14,000 additional troops to counter Iran, U.S. officials said.

The deployment could double the number of U.S. military personnel who have been sent to the region since the start of a troop buildup in May. President Trump is expected to make a decision on the new deployments as soon as this month, those officials said.

WTH? Wait for confirmation that’s for sure. Trust no news organization at this moment. Every pressure trick in the book is used on the House and Senate GOP members.

The globalist moles in the Trump administration are trying to start something. The globalists think nothing of shedding American blood far from home to advance their vile agenda.

This sounds like wishful thinking on the part of the neo-con WSJ.

If true I suspect it has something to do with Iran.

Well, eventually we will need them there to deter Iran since I do believe we will have at least a bombing war with them sooner than later.

It really would be irresponsible and supremely foolish to let Iran have the bomb, so we will have to take them out ourselves.

I would think Iran is only capable to the extent a foreign power Russia helps them. I don’t see how their domestic protests would supply a reason for us to ramp up.

I would prefer 14,000 troops on our southern border. With the increasingly violent drug cartels in Mexico, it’s only a matter of time until we see massive bloodshed and a “refugee” crisis that rivals what we saw in Europe in Syria. This is coming, on a scale the US has never encountered on its border before.

The Presient has increased our troop presence in Afghanistan since taking office.

We pulled 50 soldiers out of Northern Syria and into Iraq, but the President followed that up by putting 500 troops in Syria to protect their oil fields.

Similarly, the President is sending 1,800 more troops to Saudi Arabia to protect their oil fields from Iran.

Now, more troops being talked about. While the President talks a good game, there seems to be no slowdown in endless wars.

It wouldn’t surprise me. The ME is like Tar Baby. Easy to get stuck in it, hard to withdraw. I wouldn’t blame him if he said yes, and would be very happy if he said no. If there will be deployments, they could send their troops on R&R to Tel Aviv.

No. I don’t know which part of the administration is considering this but the consideration should be squashed.
