HEB and Walmart regular plastic bags are so thin at least one tears open dumping your stuff before getting it home. I go through them and most end up being thrown out. Those with small holes are used as trash liners and the very few with no holes are used for scooping the litter box.
Give reusable bags a few years and we’ll have headlines banning them because too many don’t wash them and they are spreading deadly diseases.
I normally double-bag the used litter bags. Odds that any holes are in the same spot are less that way. Of course the obviously holey ones don't get used for that purpose but still make an acceptable waste can liner. ;-)
