On Saturday morning, 19-year-old University of Illinois at Chicago honor student Ruth George was reportedly raped and murdered after she ignored advances from a paroled convict.
Twenty-six-year-old Donald D. Thurman was formally charged with first-degree murder and aggravated sexual assault of George on Monday, CBS Chicago’s Charlie De Mar reported.

Thurman was released from prison in December 2018 for armed robbery. He was sentenced to 6 years, but only served two and is currently on parole

According to Assistant State’s Attorney James Murphy, Thurman “thought she was pretty and tried talking to her, but the victim ignored him.” Thurman allegedly launched the attack after he grew “angry he was being ignored.”

He was RELEASED for armed robbery???? Do you mean he was released after serving two years of a sentence for armed robbery? I didn't know the prison system released convicts for crimes.
The reporter should be assigned to the high school beat, and the editor should be publicly flogged.

There is a good reason some people are incarcerated. The reason is not racism. The social justice idiots demanding early release of violent criminals just because of their color are absolute fools. The ones who agree and release these animals into society have this woman’s blood on their hands.

The judge who gave this scum a 6 year sentence for armed robbery, and the Parole Board members who let him out in two years need to be brought before a public tribunal, then disposed of appropriately. They killed the victim almost as much as the convict they released to do what criminal beasts do.
