So, I guess the precedent will be set that every subsequent president will be impeached by a majority House opposition. Next time there’s a rat in the WH with a GOP House, we just skip the hearings and move straight to an impeachment vote as the first order of business.

As Minority Leader Gerald Ford said back in 1970, impeachment is whatever a majority of the House considers it to be at a given moment in history.
For the Democrat majority, its that given moment. Let them impeach and the Senate will move to hold a trial on the matter.
