Mayor Pete Buttigieg has surged to the head of the Democratic presidential field in first-in-nation primary state New Hampshire, according to a new poll of likely primary voters released Tuesday.
The Saint Anselm College Survey Center poll of 255 likely Democratic primary voters shows that Buttigieg, supported by 25 percent, now holds a 10 percentage point lead over former Vice President Joe Biden and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who are tied for second at 15 percent. Buttigieg is substantially ahead of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is in fourth place at 9 percent.

This will get VERY INTERESTING. If, somehow, Butt gets the nomination (which I still expect Skunk Cabbage to get), then blacks will have an interesting choice:
Vote for a guy with Butt’s ‘values’, or vote for Trump, someone who they at least respect. They may well vote for Trump, or at least sit out the election.
By the time this thing is over don’t be surprised if Trump is the guy pushing to let felons vote, simply because he knows he’ll get most of the black (male) felon vote...for the above reasons. And don’t get me wrong, other than electing Trump, letting felons vote is stupid!
If this is true, then I will rescind my bet that the Democratic Debate will not be an attack on Mayor Pete.
I said in another thread that it was too early to attack Mayor Pete as the Iowa poll could be an outlier and most candidates would wait to see if he had staying power.
Either Mayor Pete is surging or the media cabal is offering him up as the latest faux front-runner to be evaluated by the voters.

The Dems pit races and genders against each other. They thrive of disharmony. They run the risk of losing male supporters with a man-hating socialist female. They run the risk of losing the black vote if they elect a white male especially an older person or homosexual. Obama2 in Booker or Patrick has limitations nationally. Still, the person will get millions and millions of votes in the general election — a frightening thought but truth — and the battle will come down to a precious few states.
Trump will never get much more than 5% of the black female vote. It's a waste of time. They are the most one-sided voting group in this country right now. The LGBT crowd is nowhere near as one-sided as black females, which is truly maddening and sad. 13% of black males voted for Trump in 2016. I would like to believe he could get that to 20%, but voter fraud is always a concern.
People from South Bend Indiana say that he didn’t do anything for them. This is another candidate that the MAIN STREAM news people have chocen for the PEOPLE. LISTEN to their drumbeat, and fall in line. Now that they can’t promote BETO.

Seriously, if he’s the nominee the Dems are essentially surrendering for the sake of pandering to a vocal tiny minority who can’t possibly cobble 50% of the vote nationally.
Demedia choice - they want another very obvious minority group so they can run on the identity crap. I can’t see America voting for a man who kisses another man on stage (excuse me a minute as I run to the bathroom), but I never thought anyone with the name Hussein would be elected either.
Meanwhile, Biden’s thinking about coming out of the closet just to keep up.
If he were to get the nomination, the polls would show his support significantly higher than it really was, because of the Bradley effect: people would lie to pollsters for fear of being called bigots.
I thought Buttplug liked bringing up the rear, but guess he prefers to be on top.
Mayor Pete won’t get the nomination for President. Blacks and other minorities make up 35% of their voters. Assuming he is leading in Iowa and NH, two very white states, his downfall will be SC.
The Dems need a minority and a woman on the ticket this time around. Mayor Pete does not check any of the Dem boxes except for being gay.

My scenario: Iowa/NH are white where being gay is is forgiven. No black votes to win. Momentum builds. He gets the nomination. Blacks then stay home in November for being left out.
Blacks then VOTE FOR TRUMP in November for being employed......................
A few truths:
No one cares about Iowa the day after the caucuses are done.
Mayor Pete has been running for the VP slot since day 1.
DNC Superdelegates will name the candidate, and it won’t be Peter.
Why is it maddening OR sad?
They vote their interests, and if everybody did the same the country would be much better off.
So basically the Dem primary is heading for a stalemate as each of ‘em pick off states in various regions where they are strong, waiting for Hillary to show-up and demand to be coronated at the Convention (which absolutely NONE of them want).
Gonna be a national shortage of popcorn, I do believe.
