When I was young living in the Jim Crow South, the press was biased against black citizens in a way much worse than they're biased against Trump supporters today. Really. Also the press still misrepresents black citizens - now they show them as reflections of self appointed 'community leaders'... not who they are. It's not a surprise blacks don't buy into the liberal BS...
Same with Hispanics - who are always portrayed as radical leftists - when in fact they're much more like traditional Americans.
And democrats? Lots of 'em really are delusional enough to believe the press is fair. If they ASK a member of the press how many Republicans work in their newsrooms they might be in for a shock. Most journalists will tell the truth... there are few to none.
Im hoping those newsrooms have a future like the old Fotomat kiosks who would develop film for us. Or buggy whip manufacturing.
The independent web is taking over the news, especially now.
Journalists systematically avoid answering that question, IMHO. Journalists are objective - except that objectivity is a goal, not a state of being, and except that it is much truer to say that journalists are negative. For the simple reason that good news is generally just things going according to plan (and thus isnt surprising, and not interesting), and therefore journalists are on the lookout for bad news. And, given that journalists know they are negative, the claim that Journalists are objective is a claim that negativity is objectivity - which is a fine definition cynicism.
