Unlike you I make no claims to be a holy roller and boy would I never....I wasn’t raised that way despite that my dad was a deacon at Calvary baptism in Jackson Mississippi in the 69s and. 70s

And I don’t question Freepers authenticity on religion here or perhaps extremely rarely as in maybe if I abstractly muse support of abortion or homosexuality is incongruous with Christianity even if adopted by Evangelical Lutherans or PCUSA

I have questions and criticism too on occasion about Catholics and Mormons and Judaism and even some Protestant sects but I’ve never denounced them

That’s up to God perhaps and I pray they have a plan or some recourse to the same afterlife most folks wish for and live in fear of missing out on

But I’m fixing to make an exception about commenting on someone else religious views as you’ll see

I posted 2-3 times on Charlie Daniels who I also said I knew in passing was a customer and I’ve also known his road manger and members of his band

I said Charlie Daniels is old ...and he is ...82 I think and he would be the first to admit it

My cardiologist at Vandy said last week I should now since I’m old enough and given my history apply for early social security and Medicare so I think I’m qualified as old now too although I don’t feel it when it comes to women and kids. I also commented I think twice more lauding Charlie as he indeed merits

No other religion on this earth exists whereby the creator or deity decided to come to earth and live amongst us as his own son or via the trinity as I was taught and to live and die as we do except he died much harder than most of us do

In order to show he loves what he creates enough to not ask us ...his creations....not to do something he wouldn’t or can’t....a sign of a good leader in the mortal world too btw

I don’t see Allah who promises material and flesh riches or one of the million Hindu gods doing this either

So that’s the Jeffersonian reason applied to my acceptance of a Christ and Christianity though there’s more. I came down to the front in 1967 aged 9 when James Robeson spoke at a Wednesday nite service and scared us all to death..lol....fair enough .

Beyond those facts which I’ve shared maybe thrice counting this I don’t proselytize especially considering a number of Freepers I admire most are Jewish as well as Catholic

Why you feel a need to incessantly judge others here on their personal religious convictions says more about you than us

Oh yes.....one last religious conviction or lack I do confess frequently here that I love and support Israel not for religion but because I like Israel and Israelis especially bohemian Israelis of whom I’ve known many around the world and in Israel where I worked

My primary going to hell and brimstones sin is without a doubt listing for beautiful women.....God certainly did well on that score I am sure grateful he was kind enough to know we needed company......I do admittedly adore women and have since 1977

I’ve been faithful to only one ..my rib..since 1996...and I believe firmly in raising those children I so enjoy the efforts it took to create
