The reason is the the politicians in the UK have realized that m*slims are their best hope for gaining and keeping power. The “Christians” don’t believe anything, and they are not having babies. m*slims are multiplying like rabbits, thanks to generous benefits paid for by the “Christians” who have no choice. The bearded ones are allowed to have 4 wives as long as they don’t call them wives.
And so, there is no future for the politicians in a nominally “Christian” UK. By favoring m*slims, the politicians can ride the crest of the wave to ultimate power and keep it for a long time, until the m*slims gain power and kill the spineless politicians.

A quick study of violent sexual assaults in Minneapolis, over the last 5 years, would tell a lot.
