I’m one of those who’s gonna try to wait this dickhead out.

Wait, I shouldn’t have said that. Speaking ill of the Holy father is a venal sin. Oh well, I’ll mention it next time I go to Confession. I’ll mention that I did speak badly of him but am not asking for forgiveness.

I’m one of those who keeps waiting for better days. Will that happen? Hard to say. But I’m not ready to run from this crap he’s been spewing.

I can’t think of a decent alternative right now. I’m really not evangelically inclined and the other options (with a few localized exceptions) such as Episcopal, Lutheran, etc aren’t doing much better.

My wife is Episcopalian and has tried to convert me for a number of years - but I won’t bite. I go with her to service every now and then but roll my eyes when i hear some of the sermons.

LCMS. Like any other denomination, it may go to the dark side someday, but not today.

If Orthodox churches weren't so ethnocentric, that would also be a viable alternative.
