Mayor Pete’s Latest Trillions: His ‘economic’ agenda is all spending and taxes and no growth.

Pete Buttigieg is getting a hard look from anxious Democrats.

...

As a result, he’ll be getting more scrutiny for his ideas, and on Friday he released what he called “An Economic Agenda for American Families.” For a candidate who wants to occupy the moderate lane, Mr. Buttigieg’s policy details veer notably left. Some highlights:

• $700 billion—presumably over 10 years, but the plan doesn’t specifically say—for “universal, high-quality, and full-day early learning.” That includes giving “lower-income families” free care “from birth through age five.”

• $500 billion “to make college affordable.” That means free tuition at public universities for the 80% of students whose families earn up to $100,000 a year. Households under $150,000 would get discounts.

• $430 billion for “affordable housing.” That includes enabling “one million low-income families to become homeowners” through support such as “federal down payment assistance.”

• $400 billion to top off the Earned Income Tax Credit, which would “increase incomes by an average of $1,000 per year for 35 million American families.”

• $200 billion to “provide transition assistance for displaced workers and communities.”

• $80 billion to “deliver high-speed broadband internet to underserved communities.”

• $50 billion for “workforce training and lifelong learning.”

• A $15 national minimum wage, which includes eliminating “the tipped minimum wage and the subminimum wage” that today lets disabled workers and students in vocational training get into the job market and learn skills to advance.

• “An end to so-called ‘right-to-work’ laws” in 27 states, plus governance changes to “enable multi-employer bargaining and ensure that gig workers can unionize.”

This isn’t an economic agenda, and there isn’t a pro-growth item anywhere. It’s a social-welfare spending and union wish list.

All these subsidies that phase out at higher incomes impose a high marginal tax rate on the middle class and discourage people from working hard to earn more.

Pete Buttigieg* is getting a hard look from anxious Democrats.

Since democrats are insane and totally unable to perform simple arithmetic and apparently never heard of economics this doesn't mean much.

"What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else."
Adrian Rogers.

Eliminate Congressional salaries - $1 billion plus perks(franking, cars, etc.) plus staff. Probably around $ 3-4 billion. Not much, but it’s a start.

Nov 2020, we’ll find out how many don’t give a rats rear for this country … and how many would sell their souls to work for destruction... how many really dumb ignorant and sold out people there are who would let a man’s way of talking be more important than jobs, our own oil, economy, the future of their grandchildren.

How many are going to get in touch with their feelings and let the gossip media fill their small minds with lies.. and go vote for socialism... you talk about dumb... you talk about ignorance... they’d rather have free food than freedom.. they’d rather vote for free healthcare and find out those in charge of socialism, want them to “take an aspirin and go off and die” if you are bad enough... it’s for sure they don’t give a flip for you...

And I wish the dumb ones would get on that ship to somewhere else... they want to live in despair... don’t put it on all the rest of us.

Leftard government spending is wasteful, inefficient, and diverts production from what people want to what the government wants. It causes capital decumulation and decreased total productive ability, which decreases economic progress, which decreases overall prosperity

Did you see the "Pete" commercial that was playing this weekend?

Pete's supporters in the crowd in the commercial at one of his events are all waving around 2' long white plastic tubes with his name on them.

They honestly look like dildos.

Bad visuals Pete.

When will Pete Butthead’s complete failure as Mayor of South Bend get a “hard look” by Democrats? All of the stuff he is proposing never happened in the crap hole known as South Bend, Indiana.

How do these guys, with no successful experience running anything (including Mayor Pete’s failures) have a chance at controlling trillions of dollars of our wealth?

Watch out Peter. Lizzy Warpath might scalp you for gender appropriation. OOPS did I say appropriation? (As she gallops beside The Clown Car on horseback.)

I can’t imagine why they be waving tubes unless it was representing something phallic.

The END TO RIGHT TO WORK laws is another way of saying that EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYED PERSON in the USA will HAVE to be in a UNION.

The Democrats want everyone to be unionized so they don’t have to work so hard for their campaign donations. The unions spend YOUR dues money in a multitude of ways you never agree with.

I had to be in 5 different unions in my younger working years. Some were OK, some were NOT.

I actually was in the Teamsters Union when Hoffa was on trial for stealing OUR pension funds.

We all got assessed an extra dollar a month in our dues so WE could HELP with Hoffa’s legal fees.

I was making about $6 an hour in those days, and that dollar a month chafed my butt. Same as being ordered to pay for your abusive husband’s lawyer in a divorce.

I finally went self-employed in 1980, and I will never be in another union-—NO HOW NO WAY.

Translation: Those of us who work hard for a living will pay for houses for those who don't, and probably illegal aliens (FU NYC) too.

No mayor of a Podunk City would be taken seriously except for the fact that he is a Sodomite.
