This is something I've been trying to put my finger on too.
Aside from being just naturally vile and evil, I wonder if it's not more for the notoriety.
He DO love him some cameras and media fawning over him, and this makes him the hottest ticket in town as far as the media is concerned.
If he can be the one who brings down Trump, he'll make a place for himself in the history books, as well as a sure "best seller" where Progressive movers and shakers can launder a Kings ransom in gold for him.
And I also believe he's too arrogant to believe this will backfire on him.

Does he realize he has total authority to relese calls from president obama too. He should release all calls from all previous presidents just for perspective.
What’s motivating him and all of them is fear. They are up to their eyeballs in crime and sedition. They thought Trump would fold, as GWB always did, and not pursue their crimes. So all of these stunts - the Mueller “investigation,” various other lesser Dem eruptions, and now this impeachment sham - are essentially “the best defense is a good offense.”
I think they’re seriously worried about being held accountable and even if they can’t get him out, they want to make it impossible for him to proceed against them.

The dems are going to impeach and nothing else that could come out will change that dynamic. You have the transcript. You have the 2 presidents already saying nothing happened. All the Dem witnesses are just expressing their presumptions and disagreements about Trump policy.
All the rest of what Trump and the republicans are doing, is show how unfair this is to the American public. Maybe some of them can be persuaded, but not the dems in congress. I cannot imagine what could happen that would stop the dems from impeaching.

I was watching Blue Planet last night. One of the fascinating scenes was of Krill, swimming in a gigantic swarm, that all turned in exact unison at the same time. It was fascinating to watch. Sorta like the the entire left. Swimming in unison, the political FISH, the media fish, the Hollywood fish. And they turn on a dime in complete unison. Who decides who leads?
