John Madden used to serve turkeys on Thanksgiving day football game with multiple drumsticks. I personally love dark meat so usually go after the thighs on a turkey. As to chickens, we have a store that sells rotisserie chicken which have huge drum sticks. They are probably “free range” that do marathons each morning. LOL
That being the case then screw em.

Yes, that was what I read into your comment. I really thought it was more ceremonial, but it looks like it would force KFC to change their long term suppliers, which should be unacceptable.
Next thing you know they will want Church’s to change their name.
Free public school food will be next.
Since Muslims are the only true source for halal ingredients, then they would benefit doubly, at our expense, because the prices would go up substantially.......................

Just had one of their now-notorious chicken sandwiches about 45 minutes ago. It was quite good.
I usually buy those hours old roasted chickens in the chill box. It’s half the price of a fresh roasted and they’re already cooked. It’s cheaper for me to eat those... even going to the meat section and buying a raw chicken and cooking it myself. And I’ll be damned if I’m going to eat fast food in a fast food restaurant be it KFC or any other brand. I cook from scratch.
When it comes to hamburgers I use a piece of meat and grind it or have it chopped at the local butcher so it comes from one cow only.
Boy, that’s one way to get a bunch of mosques burned down.

Dang, I don’t remember. I thought original had to be the Colonel’s original recipe.
Extra crispy came later - I don’t remember if Harlan Sanders was still around when it was introduced.
Then came the Nashville Hot and Georgia Gold. Various KFC’s don’t carry them all.
Breezewood PA used to be “Kentucky Beef and Ham” back in the 1970’s. Maybe it still is (?). Anyway, in addition to chicken you could get roast beef and (gasp!) ham. It was decidedly non-Halal.
Halal involves the slaughter of the animal by a specific individual who is facing Mecca and dedicating the animal to Allah as it is killed.
It means that Christians would b eating food sacrificed to false gods.
I suspect that’s the idea.
FWIW KFC has never deep fried their chicken. It’s pressure fried.
And I don’t think they’ve ever used lard. When I worked at one in 1967 they used a commercial fry oil, the same one that McDonald’s used in their fryers.
