According to (State Department official George) Kent’s newly-released transcript, the State Department official told congressional investigators that, akin to former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Maria Yovanovitch, he was worried that “the U.S. Government chose to move an ambassador based, as best she [can] tell, on unfounded and false claims by people with clearly questionable motives, at an especially challenging time in our bilateral [relations] with a newly elected Ukrainian President.”
“Potus wanted nothing less than President Zelenskiy to go to the microphone and say investigations, Biden and Clinton,” Kent testified.
“That was the message. … Zelenskiy needed to go to a microphone and basically there needed to be three words in the message, and that was the shorthand,” he said.
Kent told investigators that that was his understanding of what Trump wanted Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to say in public, based on conversations relayed to him by others in the administration who were in contact with Ambassador Gordon Sondland.
Clinton, he clarified, was “shorthand” for the 2016 election. It was a reference to Trump’s view, pushed by his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani but outside of mainstream U.S. intelligence, that Ukraine played a role interfering in the U.S. presidential election.

So let me get this straight: This guy is assuming a motive for the termination of former ambassador, who serves at the discretion of the President and can be fired for any reason, based on what SHE thought was the motivation for her removal?
I'm almost at the point where I feel embarrassed for Adam Schiff, if this is all he's got. Almost.

If I was on a jury, and a witness made statements like this guy made, according to this article, I would be daydreaming about why I was wasting my time on jury duty, when I could be more productive at home organizing my sock drawer.
So it now an “Impeachable offense” for the President run foreign policy over the objections of the bureaucracy?

Classic game of telephone:
Person A listens to phone call and tells person B what he heard and what he thinks it means.
Person B listens to personality and tells person C what he heard and what he thinks it means.
Etc. etc. until we get to person F or G and what they say has no bearing to what was actually said on the call.
So unless someone heard from Trump himself that he meant anything other than exactly what he said, none of this testimony has any meaning at all.
That’s what he UNDERSTOOD it to mean?

He said “understood”, not under-hood.
They can’t stop the insanity. Everything they have done from before Trump was even elected was designed to stop him. And it was all unconstitutional, where it was not plain illegal. And it availed them nothing. Now they must keep on with the charade because as soon as they stop it will all come crashing down on them. Sooner or later it is going to anyway. They know they are screwed and there is nothing they can do about it but delay the reckoning a few days or weeks or, if they are lucky, months.
Well that’s actually what I did mean to convey :)
This is INSANITY.
