A former Virginia lawmaker who made headlines after being accused of having sex with his teenage secretary has won a Senate seat.
Democrat Joe Morrissey won the senate seat for the 16th District in Tuesday night's election.

That’s unreal that they didn’t run anybody against him. After reading so much about the Virginia GOP I can only conclude they are compromised Deep State collaborators and are determined the keep out anybody who isn’t like themselves. What would it take to overturn their nefarious rule?

The district is a heavy African-American area. This guy could murder someone and he would have still won. For whatever reason, this guy despite being white is very popular with the black community.
For Democrats its a resume enhancement.

Morrissey married Myrna Pride on June 11, 2016 in Varina, Virginia. It is his first marriage but he has fathered a total of six children by four different women (including his current wife).[34]
Morrissey initially denied paternity of his son, who was born in March 2015, to his then law office intern, Myrna Pride, who was 17 at the time of the internship.[35] On May 20, 2015, he confirmed paternity of the boy.[36]
Although Morrissey admitted having sexual relationships with Pride, then 17 years old, in a plea agreement following a conviction for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, both continue to maintain that no sexual activity occurred before she was of legal age.[37][38]
Raised as a Catholic, Morrissey worships at New Kingdom Christian Ministry in Henrico County, a Baptist church.[39]
