Lessons from Kentucky, Mississippi and Virginia elections may not be what you think

ANALYSIS — Voters in Kentucky, Mississippi, and Virginia were gracious enough to go to the polls on Tuesday and give us some tangible results to chew over with 12 months to go before the 2020 elections. Here are some thoughts.

Kentucky was not an upset. Inside Elections changed its rating on the governor’s race from Lean Republican to Toss-up in mid July after finding Gov. Matt Bevin very vulnerable. So those who were surprised by Democrat Andy Beshear’s declared victory weren’t paying close enough attention.

Trump was an asset, not a liability. Without a last-minute push and visit from President Donald Trump, Bevin would have probably lost by a wider margin. The decision to urge Kentucky voters to see their ballots as sending a message to the nation as a whole was the right strategy for the governor and Republicans. It just wasn’t enough to solve Bevin’s problems.

The Dems are just damn good at getting out the vote. There’s no reason that we should be losing ANY of these elections.

Here in Nebraska, I think we’re going to have to figure out how to take out Sasse without giving the democrats the seat by default. Too many times a third party conservative comes in and we lose. If sasse would keep his mouth shut. He’s one of those who usually votes right but when Trump is down and has to give him a kick too.

We didn’t! Trump almost dragged Bevin across the finish line.

Tonight Trump will turbocharge LA’s Eddie Rispone’s ascent to the Governor’s office!

Orange Man has coattails.

Low-information voters are a majority of the population.
They don't have the critical-thinking skills to see Kalifornia happening to them, but it can end no other way.

Time for those Patriots that can leave Blue states to make tracks for (or "fall back to") the remaining Red states to stem the tide.
We launch the counter-insurgency from there.

And what they can’t round up to vote, they’ll make up. I live in W. Pennsylvania and the reports of voting “irregularities” in the counties around Pittsburgh have become almost routine. Vote straight Republican ticket and somehow, upon review, some of your votes are moved to Democrat candidates; no reports whatsoever of a similar result for those voting a straight Democrat ticket. Obviously a software “glitch”...

I understand Republicans won all the other state offices by wide margins. The only problem was Bevins himself.

If anyone should be concerned about these results it’s McConnell. The GOP has lost the cities and lost the suburbs and both turned out votes in large numbers. McConnell’s poll numbers are even worse than Bevin’s are and the voters have shown they don’t mind splitting their ticket. So Moscow Mitch had better spend some time at home mending fences otherwise he could be looking for work come January 2021.

“....People have lost faith in the GOP...”

States where GOP control the Legislatures have been bulwarks in containing the left, the progressives agenda.

“We get the government we deserve.”

No, not really. First off, we’re a Constitutional Representative Republic...regardless who gets in they’re obligation is to the Constitution first-—period! However, they don’t care.

Secondly, whether we want to admit it or not, the 24/7 propaganda from Hollywood, the media and schools has pushed us into the abyss. If the media was honest even 20% of the time, it would make a huge difference.

I admit, I am frustrated at the shear stupidity of people. They belief anything their professor and the media tells them. Yes, they are that ignorant-—even when clear facts are presented they [still] deny it....How can we convince them when they don’t even care what the facts are?

I guess the Democrat gamble paid off——crime does pay, warped Biblical principals AKA as Communism, does work when the propaganda is in place. We are headed down a very dark road and we need to have a plan. What’s that plan? I have no idea....

Were Republican leaders unaware what was happening in Virginia or did they let it happen without a fight?

Did you hear one Republican issue a 'call to arms' over Virginia elections?

Were they asleep or at the wheel or did they just agree to accept defeat?

The GOP tallied more votes Statewide for both the House of Delegates and the State Senate.

The total votes for the HOD was:
860,794 Republican
823,369 Democrat
55,184 votes for other

For State Senate it was:
843,576 Republican
808,605 Democrat
112,917 other.

The Democrats “won” by getting a Kalifornia Communist “Professor” to gerrymander the maps to benefit the Democrats. Gerrymander is good when it benefits Democrats, it is bad when it benefits Republicans.

Do you see how that works?

This “win” is entirely illegitimate, and nothing that they pass deserves any respect. It’s long past time that the right adopts the #Resist framework.

Two can play that game.
