My read is the fact that this happened on White Street is part of the trolling—how long before Danbury tries to change the name of the street—since it has been forever stained by this hateful incident! ;-)
Well, the mayor right now is fairly balanced, but there is a mob mentality, for sure.
Particularly ironic, back in my day, at Danbury H.S., any kids that didn’t have grand plans to go off to college, and went to West Conn, were looked down upon, for choosing “White St. University”, as it was nicknamed....
It looks like Danbury does not have a Martin Luther King Boulevard....yet..... ;-)
White St. is too prosperous, presently…
Danbury has “Dr. Aaron B. Samuels Blvd.”, named after the local version of MLK. I am surprised they didn’t make the adjustment, to White St. when they bestowed the moniker on ABS Blvd, a few years back.
