Notice the provocative wording, "Pro Confederate group".

The name of the group is United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC), which is the same group who donated the statue to the town of Pittsboro NC 100 years ago.

It would accurate to identify them as pro-Confederate, don't you agree?

I don’t see why people are getting uptight the the group being referred to as “Pro-Confederate”. If your honoring your ancestors who fought for the Confederacy, then why be ashamed of it?

I agree, technically, if the purpose was to construct agitprop.

There is no Confederacy. No one is conspiring for a return of the Confederacy, thank God!

AP has a recent history of bias! This is just another example....
