If about 1,000 of them leave, there will be a huge hole in the California budget.

There are only two numbers that matter. State revenues and the 2020 census.

Each congressman represents about 711,000 people (citizens and illegal aliens). California has 53 congressmen. So for every net loss of 711k, one fewer congressman.

The current population of California is 39.56 million (2018).

Actually, in California we have Nine/novum fur·ca·tion:

1. Super rich/wealthy like Finestein, Pelosi, and those in
Gay Frisco and La La Land with a higher net worth than
many countries. They are often left wing con artists
reaping financial rewards due to their political
connections.

2. Very wealthy due to their parents or their own ingenuity.

3. High middle income usually due to both husband and wife
having well paying jobs or owning successful businesses.

4. Successful blue collar workers, who invest wisely never
waste their hard earned money.

5. Blue collar workers barely making it financially. Good
workers and often both husband and wife put in long and
hard hours trying to provide for their children.

6. Immigrants, who can’t speak English, have zero skills and
still get subsidized housing, food, medical care and
schooling for their many off spring.

7. The so called homeless with zero skills, a drug and
alcohol addiction and zero contribution to the areas
where they exist until they die of an overdose or a
disease from their being homeless lifestyle.

8. Two types of gays:
a. A high IQ and driven group who often have their own
business or work for these successful gays.

b. Liberal Social Justice warriors getting paid with our
tax $’s representing SJW bs at local and state levels.
Many get their paycheck from local colleges and school
systems or so call welfare programs.

9. Low level criminals to organized crime types.

“A childhood friend of mine did the same thing, moving to Prescott. He said his small tract of homes (30-40?) is 75% California Ex-pats.”

I moved to Prescott Valley two years ago from Irvine CA and I can say about 1/2 of the new residents to Yavapai County come from CA and most of the rest come from other parts of AZ.

The Yavapai County Republican office claims there are 3000 more registered Republicans since 2016 while the Dems registered only a few hundred more.

The bifurcation between wealthy and poor in completely intentional on the part of the wealthy and those that aspire to live like the wealthy

In past American society, the difference between a middle class family and an ultra wealthy individual was more one of degree than substance.

A middle class family had all the basics - a decent home, at least one car but most often two, decent food on the tables, radio and television, one or more vacations a year and all of what used to be the standards of middle class life.

Call it the American dream, which effectively meant that families had the basic necessities in life plus an upwardly mobile life that allowed them to build a better life as time went on.

Sure, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs has bigger and better country club houses, Porsche and Mercedes cars instead of a Chevy or Ford and we’re able to live a comparatively opulent lifestyle, but it was more of degree than substance

And at some point, more wealth did not provide a proportional increase in quality of lifestyle. For many wealthy, paradoxically, the quality of life actually declined as they gained ever more wealth

That’s where having a huge underclass comes in.

A huge underclass allows not just the rich but the well connected and politically powerful to live like royalty lording it over the destitute serfs

And for many of the ego motivated, this sense of power and privilege over a desperate serf population is far more satisfying than having a better Rolex or Rolls Rolls.

At some point for these wealthy and wannabes, it is more important that others have less, especially so much less that basic needs are barely met, than that they have even more wealth that they cannot put to use.

We are seeing this in action these days as the elite are intentionally trying to limit the quality of life and upward mobility of others in order to increase their power and stature relative to people

California should pass a law requiring escapees to continue paying California taxes because shut up.

A couple of years ago, I got a letter from the state (CA) wanting to collect my back taxes since I have not filed a return in years. I left in 2004. I’m getting ready to retire, and I’ll be heading to TX. I hate what has happened to my state.

residents of every socioeconomic background are leaving the state,

In other news, the rapid influx of stinking kalifornians into major metropolitan areas of civilized states threatens to turn said states into the same sewer as kalifornia.

Please. Kommiefornians. Stay where you are. The weather everywhere else sucks.

The Rats have a Supermajority in Sacofshitmento.

You could get the get the most Conservative Governor Elected in CA and his Veto’s would be overridden in the blink of an eye.

I didn’t leave CA, CA left me.

1. My N Calif neighbors moved to Kansas a year before I moved out to N Nevada....2003/2004 respectively.

ALL 3 of us received DEMANDS from California for registration of all 4 of our vehicles & both of our trailers. NONE of those demands were ‘forwarded address’ items. Same for our driver’s licenses when renewal came up. NO ONE can legally have more than one driver’s license....

They were sent direct to both of our new addresses.

The following year we all also got the same demands.

ALL of our plates were surrendered in our new states & those states sent them to Calif. I checked.

2. California Legislature actually had a bill in committee, which would have charged an EXIT TAX wo anyone leaving California-—even if you died.

3. Same California Legislature got a bill into committee that would have FROZEN ALL OF YOUR ASSETS FOR 5 YEARS IF YOU SOLD YOUR HOUSE OR BUSINESS OR TRIED TO LEAVE CALIFORNIA.

ALL your assets would include proceeds from selling house or business-—your vehicles—your animals-—your household goods-—your food in the refrigerator-—the clothes on your back-—your jewelry—your bank accounts of all kinds-—your pensions -—your 401’s, etc, etc,....EVERYTHING YOU OWN.

That bill did not make it out of committee-—however, the fact that they even thought it up & WROTE the bill is scary enough for me.

I left in Dec 2004, after 40 1/2 years there. Won’t go back. Don’t miss it.

For anyone who is ready to bolt California with horses, I have 5.58 acres all set up for horses for sale in N Nevada. Selling due to family health issue-—NOT ME.

Will give info to anyone who is interested.

BTW- CURRENT property taxes for entire year = under $750-—total.

I lived single in California from Feb 1964 to Dec 2004.

I bought my first house in May 1966, and was earning about $6 an hour.

I refinanced that house in late 1988 and bought a 2nd property in N Calif in a foreclosure.

I moved to the N Calif house in May 1993.

I sold the S Calif house in May 1995.

I sold the N Calif house in Dec 2004 & left California.

I worked doing bookkeeping/accounting all of those years, plus some 2nd jobs.

I NEVER made more than $64,000 in any one year.

The profit from the Dec 2004 sale bought my current property in N Nevada free & clear.

My vehicles are all paid for & no mortgage.

AND I am female.

“So I don’t think I’m ever going to give it up”

Spent a year there in ‘62 and ‘63, boot camp at San Diego and a 38 week school on Treasure Island. California was the Golden State back then but it is now an example of how to ruin a paradise. In boot camp young guys from almost anywhere else felt sorry for me when I admitted to being from South Carolina but now I think they are all trying to move here. SC will probably wind up ruined totally before long but I won’t be here to see the worst of it, I’m 75 now and I have pulmonary fibrosis.
