...John Delaney, fault the Democratic National Committee for creating a system in which candidates who are already well known or have base-pleasing views have a massive advantage.

The party set a high threshold for grass-roots donors that candidates had to meet to make it on the debate stages, an incentive system that he said rewards far-left views. Moderate candidates lose out if the DNC process trumps the traditional vetting role that voters in Iowa and New Hampshire have long played, he said.

John Delaney's right - once again the DNC is putting their thumb on the scale...and guaranteeing a loss...

More and more people are thinking that Hillary will run again.

I sure hope that happens. But can she get sober?

What’s that old saying?

What comes around goes around.... Democrats deserve it in spades.

His enemies have wished him nothing but ill from the night he won the election.

Few people could take that kind of hatred for two years and still be decent.

Democrats are everything they ascribe to Trump and more.

Just as well as they’re being consumed by what they’ve brought upon themselves and they’re going down.

In the world, every one of us gets their just desserts.

Re John Coale and a lack of decent Democrat candidates. Well John, some of your standard Democrat Party candidates are no longer available - Joe Stalin, Krushchev, Breznev, Andropov, Gorbachev, Lenin, Mao tse-Tung, Kim Il Sung, Ho Chi Minh, Fidel Castro Lavrentia Beria (KGB), the Rosenbergs/Morton Sobell, Rep. Samuel Dickstein (NKVD, 1930’s), Comrade Bella Abzug (D-NY, 1960s/70s), Gamal Abdul Nasser, Pol Pot, Saddam Hussein, Mohammar Qadafi, Che Guevera, Idi Amin, Said Barre’, Oliver Tambo (ANC), or I.F. Stone (KGB).

However, you have Daniel Ortega (Nicaragua who might be out of a job with the next revolution), Hugo Chavez (being dead never stopped a commie from winning an election), Maduro - he needs the work, Morales (Bolivia), or HILLARY for 2028 (she needs her rest for the next 4 years).

At least the Marxist Democrats know that they have shit for candidates, many of whom are psychopaths and sociopaths as well as being weird in other ways (what’s with Beatoff O’Rourke’s air hand jobs motions? Does he have a sexual “tic” or something). Kamala Harris only does well on human poles, not political ones. Liz Warren, a member of the “Squats with Buffalo” tribe, is still search Ancestry, Inc. for her Indian relatives while Comrade Bernie Sanders is getting ready for his film long appearance in “Weekend at Bernies, II where his few words are “I don’t need to be alive to do this roll” and one more donut and I won’t.

The real underlying problem here is that none of the Democrat candidates are hard left enough. I’ve been saying that for months now. They need to denounce Karl Marx as a running dog capitalist tool.

an incumbent whom Democrats see as simultaneously weak and hard to beat

That's the most entertaining part of democrats; they are completely incapable of logic. "Orange Man bad." It's a fact. Everyone hates Orange Man. How could they possibly lose when Orange Man is on the ballot?

...Outside of Democrats’ blue enclaves of wanton perversion, Hunter is seen, not as a victim, but as a cocaine-addicted
womanizer, exploiting his political connections, riding the fast lane, living large off his White Privilege.

* * *

Nice analysis. The essential Biden character is clearly shown in his spendthrift ways and his son’s decadence. A single rotten apple falls from a tree that bears no fruit.

(Excerpt BBC report) In Burisma's press release announcing his hiring, Hunter Biden says: "I believe that my
assistance in consulting the company on matters of transparency, corporate governance and responsibility,
international expansion and other priorities will contribute to the economy and benefit the people of Ukraine."

The Obama White House emphasized that vice president Biden's son's new job will have no influence on US foreign policy.
"Hunter Biden is a private citizen and a lawyer," a spokeswoman for VP Biden told the Wall Street Journal.
"VP Biden does not endorse any particular company and has no involvement with this company."

That makes no sense whatsoever. If Gabbard was the big winner the Dems are hoping for, they would not try to destroy her even in spite of her supporting Bernie in 2016. Before Hillary’s recent attempt to label Gabbard a “Russian asset”, the DNC worked to deliberately exclude Gabbard from the debates.

I was not “desperately asking why” the Dems are doing what they are doing. I observe their anxiety (as the Compost article renders it) and see no hope for them against Trump, certainly not in Gabbard (as you seem to say there is). Your mischaracterization of my words does now say “concern troll”, at least to me.

PS. Welcome to FR. I hope I’m misjudging you.

You’ve already lost credibility with me. No need to judge, just read a users posting history and go from there. Now, let’s part ways on a civil note.

I wasn’t offering my credibility up to your scrutiny, lol.

I’m sorry you’re putting no effort into your assessment of Gabbard as being able to beat Trump. I invited you to do so. The invitation is still open, if you want to give it another shot.
