I am of the opinion that the Senate could put an end to this by passing a Senate rule that requires the Senate to accept articles of Impeachment ONLY after:

- the articles have passed the house by a majority
- the vote was a roll call vote
- All evidence supporting impeachment has been made public for no less than 30 days.
- the person impeached has had the opportunity to directly confront all witnesses

- etc (other rules?)

I am thinking that this should be closer to court procedures in a grand jury proceedings.

Yes, any court of law worth its salt (i.e., not Democrat) would say that the accused, President Trump, has been denied his legal rights under the Constitution. As long as the imbeciles keep this in the House, however, where the rules are determined by the majority party, it is just an exercise by the majority party. If they try to enforce their conclusions, they will be in court about it. That is why it is just a political show; an attempt to thwart the President in his work and to deprive him of reelection by damaging his reputation. That said, I do think the Attorney General would be within the law to shut them down for the stated illegality of their "star chamber." It would be a joy to see them all marched away in orange jumpsuits, but political consequences for that would be more division and probably violence.

Since this is not a formal impeachment or grand jury where testimony is secret, I don’t see where house rules apply to non members.

Accordingly, each witness should be asked to sit down with white house attorneys to give an account of what they were asked and how they responded. At the very least I hope each witness is keeping a memo for record of their testimony.

In the end, the house will impeach with 217 votes of rats from safe districts.

Impeachment of our President should be of no concern to us, it’s the RINO’s in the senate that have me worried. Miss Lindsey and even the “turtle” are getting more wobbly every day. It’s hard to believe, but if our President is thrown out of office, it will mean the end of the Republican party. I doubt that anyone who supports President Trump will ever vote for a Republican again, I know I will not.

What you propose is already "rules" for passing articles of impeachment.

What Pelosi and here cohorts are doing is exercising the House power of investigation pursuant to impeachment. Nothing in the House rules delegates this power, so Pelosi and her chosen partners have simply usurped it. This breach is only of House protocol, and as a legal matter, has no ramification.

At any rate, Trump can't be impeached without a vote by the full House. Meanwhile, the press and most of Congress continue as though this irregular process is merely "odd."

I'm not shocked or surprised. Congress is a failed institution. It is not capable of doing the right thing.
