Rush did admit that 'wars' are profitable, if run right. I recall making an FR comment about profiteering shortly have GWB decided to attack Iraq. I got skewered by the bushbots. My comment was about CNN running a headline that another war with Iraq could cost upwards of $1 Trillion. That was before 'trillion' was part of the vernacular. Not long ago there was headline that these various Middle Eastern wars have cost us over $3 Trillion.

They may have mentioned Norway. That Norway was occupied is well-known: the name of the pro-Nazi Norwegian who was put in charge of the government, Quisling, became a common noun (used of similar collaborators in other occupied countries). An outfit like Fox should have some knowledgeable fact-checkers who know enough about World War II to know that Sweden was never occupied.

The German's achieved most of their objectives in what must be viewed as a stunning military success, in the face of overwhelming odds. Maybe Baier can make up for it in his upcoming children's books.

I think he had a ghost writer in this book.Right off the getgo he called the USS Iowa a destroyer and the DD as the battleship.If he researched this as is claimed he would not have confused the two.A big frigging difference.The guy is not to be taken as credible.

Tiny mistake EXCEPT for those that pay attention to FACT, not only detail.

That FooFaa is right up there with CorpsEman and the ‘I have visitied all 57 states’ as either poor editing or just plain ‘stoooopid’.

I think RL had pointed out in the past that you can tell if an ‘inexperienced’ person is reading if they say “AA” when the word a is normally pronounced as ‘uh’.

It does help when ‘sorting’ out the BS from the truth..-if they can’t pay attention enough to speak correctly and get something easily checked wrong, then it is hard to believe ANYTHING that follows.

Yes you did miss it. I thanked Kaslin for posting a very informative article.

I suppose I could have posted something in defense of Bret Baier but why should I waste my time. The FR consensus appears to be that Baier is just another NeverTrumper, a title given out way too easily around here.

A honest debate would be better. We used to do that. That’s become a rare thing now. On the average we don’t debate on the merits, We just follow the Party Line.

So I mostly reply to positive comments or to those who are willing to post more than just a one liner. I also tend to respond to Freepers who actually read the article. Even that is becoming rare.

But don’t get me wrong. I love FR. It is still the best by a mile. But it is not the friendly place it once was.
