Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, took a series of shots at President Trump in an interview that aired Sunday, saying that some of the president’s rhetoric appealed to racism and claiming that under his leadership, the US was abandoning allied Kurdish fighters in Syria.
Romney, who said he wrote in his wife, Ann, when he voted in 2016, told “Axios on HBO,” “The places where I would be most critical of the president would be in matters that were divisive, that appeared to be appealing to racism or misogyny, and those are the kinds of things I think that have been most, most harmful long term to the foundation of America’s virtuous character.”
He noted he still voted with Trump 80 percent of the time.

But I don’t even think that applies to the Kurds in the present situation.
It is forgotten what the Kurds did in the early opening days of World War 1 and that the Kurds worked for the Turks and they crucified and murdered tens of thousands of Christians in Albania for blood money.
It was never our fight to begin with.
Trump has more character in his little finger than Romney has in his entire body. Can’t believe Trump considered him for Secretary of State. He would have worked against Trump from within the administration. He has no ethics, and is almost as trustworthy as the guy who emailed from Chad and wants my bank account PIN so that he can deposit $20 million.
I think Trump expected the rough and tumble of the race to be over once the election was. He was even gracious toward the Clintons in the post-election CBS interview. The swamp doesn’t bury the hatchet. I think he’s learned a lot about who these people are and won’t be making that mistake again.
EVERY report I’ve read or seen/heard has stated we got (numbers vary) 20 - 50 troops out of the way of TURKEY’S stated intention to invade and attack no matter WHO was in the way ..... all indications seem to reveal President Trump saved American lives, not lost them, nor “abandoned the Kurds”
Ditto here. I wasted my vote on that cretin in 2012.
Actually, I care more about the Kurds than I do Romney.
