Members of the Chicago chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America met Sunday morning to coordinate efforts to assist the Chicago teachers and school support staff whose concurrent strikes are likely to stretch into a second week.
The group, commonly known as Chicago DSA, has remained on the front lines of the strike that now threatens to cancel a third day of classes for Chicago Public Schools students. During Sunday’s meeting at Chicago DSA’s modest Logan Square headquarters, about a dozen members of the chapter were preparing to curry public support by canvassing a series of brunch spots around Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s home on the Northwest Side.
“After two strong days … on our 11 adopted picket lines - in addition to the rallies that have seen tens of thousands of people on Thursday and Friday - we want to make sure that we are not letting the support dwindle whatsoever and that there are going to be more members out on lines on Monday,” said Dan Cutter, co-chair of Chicago DSA’s labor branch.

They deserve each other.
Chicago Teachers Union is nothing but a communist front organization.
America lost the “Cold War” way before the phrase was coined. The (former) USSR actually won but they lost their country in the long run as America is also headed to that same dustbin of history the way we are going. The Founders knew most people are commonly idiotic and gave America a Republic if we want it but we are flushing that down the toilet.

Will anyone even notice that the teachers are not in the classroom.
The only question of any importance is whether the poor kids sentenced to the Chicago Public School System will learn less if the teachers go on strike or if those teachers actually show up in the classroom.
