Authorities in Indiana said a baby is alive and well after someone discovered the child inside a plastic bag near a fence in Seymour.

According to the Tribune and WAVE-TV, police responded to a call about the infant just before 4 p.m. Tuesday. A resident, who had been walking a dog off South Jackson Park Drive, found the child about 60 feet away from the street, investigators said.
Crews rushed the baby to a nearby hospital, the news outlets reported. Doctors said the child is healthy, according to WAVE.
Seymour police said they made contact Wednesday with a person of interest in the case. They emphasized the person was not a suspect in the investigation.
Authorities have not yet made any arrests in connection with the incident, the Tribune reported.

Seymour police are investigating an incident where an infant was left in a bag on the city’s southeast side, authorities report.
A person walking their dog called police at 3:49 p.m. and reported they found the infant in the 600 block of South Jackson Park Drive, according to a news release from Detective Sgt. C.J. Foster.
The infant was found along a fence row about 20 yards from the roadway, police said.
Officers were called to the scene and determined the baby was still alive. It was taken for an examination at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour and was determined to be healthy.
Foster wrote in a news release that the department wants to remind residents that the city has a Safe Haven Baby Box at Seymour Fire Station 3, 605 Meadowbrook Drive. It became available to residents in June.
The box allows babies to be surrendered, and first responders will be notified immediately. The box can only be opened by medical personnel, Foster said.
No one has been arrested at this time, and the incident remains under investigation.

Really? Then abortionists should certainly be imprisoned, especially the late term practitioners, but they have government approval.
For a youngster not caring for her own young, prison is NOT the answer. Society seems to approve of infanticide, why would a kid know this WAS wrong?

WTF is wrong with people? All you have to do is take the baby to a Fire Station or a church. There are literally thousands of couples that would adopt. The mind boggles.
But it’s all the consequence of the cheapening of life by the godless.
