Constitutional Carry Coming Soon

U.S.A.-(Ammoland.com)- On 7 October, 2019, Representative Jason Lowe, D-Oklahoma City, filed a lawsuit to stop the implementation of Constitutional Carry in Oklahoma. The law is scheduled to go into effect on 1 November, 2019.  He and four other plaintiffs have asked for an injunction to stop the law from going into effect while their case is litigated. From koco.com:

The law will allow most people in Oklahoma 21 and older to carry a gun without a permit.

On Monday, state Rep. Jason Lowe filed a lawsuit at the Oklahoma County District Court, asking for a judge to stop the permitless carry law. He argued that the law is unconstitutional and called it a dangerous law.

“We're gonna continue to fight. We're gonna continue to push,” said Lowe, D-Oklahoma City. “We believe this law is dangerous, and we believe the citizens in the state of Oklahoma agree with us.”

This is the latest attempt by Lowe and others to derail Constitutional Carry.

Opposing the Constitution on the grounds that the document is unconstitutional takes balls.

This idiot

feels that "constitutional carry" is unconstitutional.

That's a special kind of stupid.

In truth, I don't think he actually believes that nonsense. He's just a garden-variety socialist petty tyrant. He wants to disarm We the People, so he and his comrades can do things to us we wouldn't tolerate if armed.

Send Jason Lowe, D-Oklahoma City a copy of the Constitution. Perhaps he never read it. Maybe he doesn’t know how to read.

I think he is simply bought off.

He did nothing about the law until 17 days before the deadline to file a veto referendum. This after two months of inactivity. But some money got injected into the equation.

The veto referendum cost about $100,000. Moms Demand Action was intimately involved. They are heavily funded by Michael Bloomberg.

Bought off …

1) The biggest problem with political corruption is that politicians are actually worth buying. This indicates that they have too much power.

2) If he’s bought off, there’s a reason the buyers went to him.

As I suspected, a minority rep from a very safe district, backed up by his “peeps”. Another dipshit moron/tool of the Democrat Party who can’t appreciate the very special historic irony of a black man arguing against the 2nd Amendment.

Gun laws. Gun laws. Gun laws. It’s great how criminals obey each and every new law that is passed.

He probably thinks that “bearing arms” has something to do with what kind of shirt you wear.

I supported the NRA for several years until I realized they were not going to go to court to make New Jersey support Constitutional carry. Perhaps when this case gets to SCOTUS things may change.

A New Jersey case is in the process now. We do not know if the Supreme Court will agree to hear it.

Ever since 1891, the Supreme Court has been granted the power to decide what cases it will hear.

I can understand someone thinking they will win a suit against a law that takes away freedom, but how do they expect to win against a law that grants freedom? They certainly can’t win on constitutional grounds.

There are many who are ideologically committed to taking away freedom. Most “Progressives” are. Many of them are judges.

I shudder to think about the fools I encountered on the highway just yesterday being allowed to openly carry. They are combinations of nuts, stupid, menacing and reckless. All of these things and given the right to carry a gun without any conditions is just terrifying.

It’ll only take one judge, somewhere. It’s a flaw in our government that’s taking us down. A judge’s rulings shouldn’t apply beyond his/her jurisdiction.

Your fears would have more weight if there were any data to bolster them.

Open carry has been a right people have had for hundreds of years. No one had to give it too them. That right has been honored in 60% of the states for most of our history.

If your fears were well founded, there should be plenty of blood by now.

Yet open carry incidents that involve bloodshed are exceedingly rare.
