SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Saturday signed a law intended to counter Trump administration plans to increase oil and gas production on protected public land.
The measure bars any California leasing authority from allowing pipelines or other oil and gas infrastructure to be built on state property. It makes it difficult for drilling to occur because federally protected areas are adjacent to state-owned land.

Today I drove back and forth through Lost Hills for a trip to es passo dell robles ciudad - I mean Paso Robles.
Oil pumps were pumping their little hearts out.
Meanwhile, the gas stations in the area had Reg at 3.89 cash and above.
Sometimes 4.09 and above.
Some locations had Diesel lower than Reg (real strange for around here).
Turkey Vultures were circling, eating road-kill off of Calif State Route 46. Probably an omen.
So I did not stop to expose myself.

Well, there ya go. That explains everything.
California has seen some bad governors, moonbeam. But this guy may go down as the most anti-American governor in the state’s history.
