“the USA gets another fresh migrant wave”

That was predicted at the beginning of the Iraq war.

Trump’s move to slam the door shut on the terrorist “sending” nations stuck a cork in that butt.

The Mouse That Roared scenario needs to end.

And a slice of that pizza was flown into Tehran in cash by Obama.

A vacuum for radical islamists is a danger? Like allowing them into this country?

Let’s say we stop doing that then we can discuss other issues

My family has given enough in the desert.

As a bonus, we got the destruction of Christianity in the Middle East. Thanks, neocons!

The Mideast war profiteering as so profitable......neocon godfather Richard Perle started his own oil company....
which was probably the neocon raison d'etre for dragging the US military into the hellholes of the Mideast.

GOING INTO THE MIDDLE EAST IS THE WORST DECISION EVER MADE ... IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY!

I'm thinking that Vietnam was a hell of a lot worse.

Time to get the hell out, let them fight it out amongst themselves, and see who’s still standing when the smoke clears.

Trump is just fearless. At a time when he needs to shore up the tepid support he has in his own party the most he does this. Best President in my lifetime. Doing the right thing can sometimes get you killed but he forges ahead.

Its great to get our troops out of the Arab/Islamic world but what good does it do when we are importing them here everyday as “Refugees?

We need to stop that as well.

Back when GWB was speechifying about going into Iraq [we were already in Afghanistan], CNN posted a headline that another war with Iraq could cost upwards of a $Trillion dollars. That was back in the days when the T-word was seldom used because it was such an unimaginable amount.

I posted that on FR and got lambasted by the Bushbots.

$8 Trillion in the Middle East. hmmmm.

I sort of remember when the Dems were the party that got us into wars and the Pubbies were the party and got us out of them.

“The warmongers are going to be mad. After all they love endless wars, and most likely because they are marking money at the expense of our military. “

There was some guy on the radio this morning (didn’t catch the name) whose hair was on fire about Trump saying he was going to pull the troops out. He (the guy) was saying ‘that’s what they signed up for’ and that Trump would not be re-elected if he pulled them out and that ISIS would start acting up. Where did ISIS come from anyway? Hmmm.

As it stands any bloke walking down the street in Yemen can walk into our embassy, throw his name in the hat for the Green Card Lottery and win permanent residence in America.

When that’s the case we’ve got bigger problems than refugees fleeing Syria.

Exactly! It’s the Yurps’ problem, not ours. We’re getting very close to energy independence (at least with the oil we buy from Canada and Mexico). We don’t really need the Middle East anymore.

The Yurps sure do though. So does China. Let them go in there and clean up the messes. They’re the ones who desperately need the oil and gas - not us.

Perhaps the main advantage globalists enjoy is a generational information gap. That is, as soon as one generation finally recognizes the corruption, they are too old and enfeebled do to anything. Meanwhile, the younger generation(s), still fully indoctrinated by misplaced vanity regarding 'global responsibilities' assumes control.

We can see this phenomenon here @ FR. Expressing comments like on this thread 10-15 years ago would have had the ban hammer reigning supreme. Now? Just par for the course for a generation who have finally woken up and realize the essential truth(s).

As a devout atheist, I must admit that the concept of satan appears universal. It seems manifest that the devil is an amalgam of the same types of characters which periodically arise and bedevil every society. While the main body - say 98% - are perfectly capable of living in peace and following their own paths, the corrupt 2% are so consumed by the drive for power & wealth that they interfere and cause problems for everyone.

The creation of endless wars, the direct profiteering, the establishment of support conduits (foreign aid), the influence peddling and selling access are all part of a grand cycle designed to enrich connected the evil doers. Over time - say 1,000 years - what we are left from prior times are woodcuts, stories and other cultural influences that shape modern myths. But were they myths or really characterizations of universal evil?

Anyway, now that many @ FR have finally realized the truth, is it possible to restore the US, or once fallen, must societies proceed through the entire redemption arc?

Oh I forgot about that whole “war for oil” aspect of middle east policy.

Isn’t energy independence grand? You can actually evaluate your geopolitical priorities more objectively.
