No deterrent, this will continue as it always has.
And that’s why we’re screwed.
Yes, we’re probably screwed.
But the Founders had the right idea — LIMITED government. If the federal government controls the military to protect our soil and maybe runs the post office, then government isn’t all that much fun. Which is the point. Aside from defense contracts, you can’t easily get rich from a small government.
But once the government is spending trillions of dollars doing who-the-hell-knows-what, then everybody wants to jump into the pool and rake off their share.
We need a much small government. That’s the only real way to reduce corruption.
And there’s the rub, the only people who want to serve in government now are there because they want to control your life, and control society.
AND Cash in in some illegal or unethical manner.
Democrat forced to resign for... corruption.
