Bernie might beat Biden to the exit. Even if he doesn't exit, I think his campaign has a big asterisk next to his name that he cannot recover from. Maybe Bernie will become the go-to VP for everyone?

Quid Pro Joe is dead man walking, whether he keeps breathing or not. While the Senate might circle the wagons to protect one of their own, I think everyone else will gravitate to the next shiny object--Pocahantas.

After yesterday's presser I immediately came over here and posted .... they'd been taken to the woodshed and commanded to shut it down.

ALL of pee lousy's words were SO focused on just one element, so out of character for democrats, that I knew they had been handed a purple paper.

The next one will be pink

No, because they would have to throw the whole party under the bus. They will just ignore that he knew about the Ukraine issue beforehand knowing that a majority of the people will never notice that fact.

And that is a good thing when you consider they never learn and continue doing stupid (and sometimes illegal) things.

Yeah and they really pay the price from the press. /sarcasm

Sadly, too many Americans believe what the press has to say on any issue.. They just look stupid & corrupt to those who pay attention. Granted that number is growing, but far too slowly to keep up with the uneducated college graduates being churned out who think they are actually the smart Americans.

You do seem to have a point as he already appears to be getting away with making up the transcript of Trump’s conversation.

Personally I believe the many years going without any punishment for their misdeeds is going to be their downfall.
They lack the ability to see the final consequences of their actions.

Worse, because Adam Schiff acts as both prosecutor and judge due process is fatally corrupted. Still worse, Adam Schiff has not only conflated the roles of prosecutor and judge but he has also become the advocate for the whistleblower. Finally, because Schiff has a clear personal and political interest in effecting the impeachment of the president of the United States, he is also a litigant, a person who will personally benefit from his actions as prosecutor, judge, advocate/attorney for the whistleblower.
All the while the Republicans on the committee can expect only their five minutes but the president can expect no due process and no justice.

Very good analysis. So,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

One answer is to send more money to Trump so he can get the truth out.

Folks the dems are going to spend or destroy our wealth. We might as well spend it now for the cause of freedom.

between Schiff writing the complaint

Say what? Did I miss something? How is it alleged that Schiff wrote the complaint?

Democrats can’t afford to throw Schiff under the bus. The Schiff Show is all they have at this time.

I wonder if the House rules allow the Republicans to initiate an ethics investigation of Schiff? After all, he made a bald-faced lie regarding having met with the “whistleblower” - he not only met him, but did so BEFORE the complaint was filed! That strongly suggests collusion, and the fact that he lied about it to the entire world shows that he knows it and was trying to avoid having anyone else even look at this.

Just want to get my prediction in: For whatever reason, a win it all or be destroyed situation has been created by the same forces that began Crossfire Hurricane in 2015.

They remain in place. The coup has not failed, and is now culminating.

Either Barr and Durham have the goods AND perceive it to be in their interest to go public, go loud, and start making arrests OR Trump is going to be removed from office by 20 Republicans in the Senate within weeks.

Schiff consulted on writing the complaint; from a legal perspective, that is “writing” the complaint. Too bad your impeachment balloon is losing air rapidly.

Even if Barr and Durham have the goods, they'll never do anything with. Their goal is to protect the institution and all those embedded within it. They will pretend to clean up the departments by cleaning up rules...no one will be held accountable. Making arrests or indictments would be too divisive, in their views. I'm afraid Trump's on his own.
