Local news reported it without much fanfare tonight. The girl's family is sorry and hopes for forgiveness blah blah. The academy released a statement saying that the incident shows there are still racial tensions.

Sorry I got the weasel wording wrong: "The school said that what happened revealed that it was “not immune from the effects of deep racial wounds” in society, and it will continue to support the students and families involved."
