CCHF Applauds U.S. Senate’s Continued Prohibition on Unique Patient Identifier
Citizens' Council for Health Freedom ^ | 09/25/19 | Twila Brase

Posted on 09/25/2019 6:38:49 AM PDT by grumpygresh

“The UPI would facilitate the vast data-sharing permitted without consent under HIPAA,” said Twila Brase, president and co-founder of CCHF. “This national patient ID would enable government and other third parties to link every piece of data in every medical record of every patient into one longitudinal digital dossier, leaving patients with no options for keeping their data, their personal lives, and their medical conditions confidential. As troubling as the privacy implications, this federal ID card would also become mandatory for patient access to care. In short -- no card, no care.”

It's the "little" things that go under the media radar that can be very important in people's everyday lives. A unique health ID number accessible to millions in the government is a big privacy threat especially considering red flag laws, access to health care services and the weaponization of psychiatry.

Isn't that already called a Social Sucurity Number?

*I have my original SS Card that states on front: Not For Identification Purposes.

I continue to fight doctors offices over id “For insurance purposes” or “because it’s required” or whatever the reason du jour might be. Some of the office managerettes get downright Hitlerian.
SS I just refuse to give...usually works.
But so many just let them scan their info without a care.
Look, I know they can get and probably have all this already but I still refuse every chance i get.
I don’t show Wal-Mart id to buy peas...I am not doing it to get a shot.

Who gets number 666? Oh, that’s right. We ALL do.

I give the last 4 numbers of SS...if I HAVE to....and then there are all the personal questions....”Do you feel safe in your home?” (Got asked that at the Opthamalogists a while back)...Or, “Have you fallen recently?” or...others about your mental health. Generally I skip the written ones, and look at them funny when they verbally ask weird questions.
