Speaker Nancy Pelosi plans to end months of caution on impeachment Tuesday afternoon, launching a formal inquiry aimed at removing President Donald Trump over allegations he withheld aid from Ukraine to pressure that country to launch a corruption inquiry aimed at damaging former Vice President Joe Biden.
All 13 Texas Democrats in Congress support impeachment or are at least open to it, after five holdouts joined the chorus in the hours before her announcement, some more enthusiastic than others.
Texas Republicans remained unified in their opposition to impeachment, even as Democrats around the country lined up to demand impeachment on Tuesday, projecting a sense of unity and momentum.
The first from Texas who hadn't already demanded Trump's ouster was Fort Worth Rep. Marc Veasey, long a holdout, who said he's ready to vote for impeachment immediately.
Four others -- Dallas Reps. Eddie Bernice Johnson and Colin Allred, Laredo Rep. Henry Cuellar, and Houston Rep. Lizzie Fletcher -- said for the first time that they're ready to begin proceedings if the White House refuses to turn over a whistleblower complaint alleging misdeeds by Trump in his dealings with Ukraine, or as other evidence emerges against him.
"If the decision is made by the president and his administration to withhold this information from Congress, or if the allegations of his abuse of power are substantiated, I will be placed in a position where I must fulfill my constitutional duty and support impeachment proceedings," said Johnson, dean of the Texas congressional delegation and chair of the House Science committee.

Now it's a FORMAL inquiry.
The house doesn't need any.
Impeachment is political. The house can impeach him if they determine his hair is a high crime.
The Senate, in theory, would need to have proof of a serious crime in order to convict (& remove) the president.
It gets worse, the whistleblower who heard something from someone is going to testify about the lack of detail and absence of corroboration..
Not to mention, if RBG would kick that bucket, they would most certainly scream that a POTUS under impeachment inquiry cannot replace a SCOTUS judge.

You have far more faith in those democrats and moderates than I do as I see them as generally not having as much common sense as conservatives have.
I most definitely see impeachment over stupid stuff as completely helping President Trump.
Make it a requirement that only native Texans can vote in Texas and you will be good to go.

Here's the thing though, conservatives know this.
It's not the conservatives that are the concern here.
Without the vast majority of the democrats and "independents" that voted for him in 2016, Trump's re-election is in jeopardy.
And it's those that get their news from sources other than FR, or even Fox, they are swayable by definition. Otherwise, they wouldn't be independents. They are going to see that no impeachment happened over Russia, but impeachment (may) happen over Ukraine. Most of those people haven't heard, and won't hear, anything about Biden's wrongdoing.
When Clinton was impeached, and the (R)'s subsequently lost politically, Clinton and the (D)'s had the media on their side (against impeachment). The roles are reversed here with the media, academia, hollywood and even some (R)'s in support of impeachment.
IMV, conservatives need to take this impeachment process seriously. This isn't a slam dunk winner for Trump.

The old democratic party that we all once knew no longer exists. It’s been infiltrated and overrun by communists. We now have the new Communist Party that is hell-bent on destroying our country, our way of life, our culture and our future. Anyone who votes for, supports and/or condones this new Communist Party has, in essence, renounced their U.S. citizenship and they should be dealt with accordingly: deported and/or expelled from the USA never to return under the duress of execution.
