I live here in Dallas. Shell be found not guilty. It wasnt murder. It was manslaughter. Dallas DA has overcharged her due to public pressure. They have screwed up. The shooting was not premeditated. She should have not shot him. Its manslaughter and they didnt charge her with that. Shell get found not guilty and Dallas will be to blame for it.

Based on what I've read about the case, she sounds like a real bonehead who became a cop to fill a quota. It would be nice if her attorney puts political correctness on trial for allowing her to become a cop.
Yeah, she should spend some hard time in the hoosegow. But our PC culture deserves some of the blame.

In my opinion, her story as presented doesn’t make sense.

You make a good point.
District Attorney’s often over charge a defendant. Either through ambitious ignorance or because the powers that be want a “Not Guilty” verdict.
Dallas better watch out. If they do find her not guilty - blacks are gonna go Ape (Bleep).

The only evidence to support a manslaughter charge in this case is the defendants own statement about what happened. That doesnt stand up under any legal scrutiny.
And since shes a trained police officer, its going to be much more difficult for her to make the case that this was all just an accident.

That is what I was thinking, that it would be manslaughter.
In some jurisdictions, the jury can go down to a lesser charge, but sounds like that will not be an option here.?
Then there will be riots, when she walks, and it will not be her fault that she got off.
Seems like this will not end well, whatever happens.

I wouldn’t make it to the jury, from what I’ve seen she’s guilty.

Never should have been a cop in the first place.
I dont trust a word she says. I hope she gets nailed for her lies. Agree. Never should have been a cop. Dirty liar, and murdered an innocent man. Lock her away forever.

My advice to former officer Guyger: Have your lawyer work out some sort of reasonable plea agreement. Because youre gonna go to jail. The only thing in question is how long.

Why couldnt the DA have charged her with both murder and manslaughter, and then let the jury decide? If shes found not guilty - and if I lived in the area - Id be right out there protesting with the BLM folks.
Because she murdered that man, pure and simple.
