A blind side sucker punch to the head makes it hard to reach your sidearm.

This was a fatal case of 1) putting oneself in the vicinity of ferals and 2) not maintaining complete 360 degree situational awareness especially when ferals are nearby.

I got sucker punch decked by a urban “teen” when I was 13. I was fortunate to survive an early introduction to them and their habitat.

If these demons select you as their target, they carry a metal pipe in their sleeve and strike as they pass by. having a weapon on you will not sdeter this sort of sneak attack. HOWEVER, if an old man like me is close by when this is done to someone and I pull my weapon and frop them in their tracks, the attitude of some of these filth will beging to change, even as the powers that be spend taxpayers' money trying me then supporting my retirement for a few years.

Having a first cousin in a nursing home right now because of these devils, seeing the depression he lives with because he is nearly a total dependent after they crushed his skull in a parking lot coming out of a burger joint, yeah, I would shoot the little devils to prevent their doing it again.
