Posted on 09/20/2019 5:21:25 AM PDT by T Ruth
Wednesday, the entire leadership team for Latinos for Trump was suspended from Twitter, according to a press release.
On September 18th, Twitter management suspended the accounts for the entire leadership team of Latinos for Trump organization, who operates under Americanos. As a company that claims [sic] its purpose is to serve the public conversation, the unjustified suspensions of these accounts is not only contrary to their stated purpose, but also silences the voice of a significant minority group, the release said.
Twitter censorships is a topic with which we are familiar at LauraLoomer.us. The company suspended our own Laura Loomer, who had more than 260,000 followers, last November. The suspension came after Loomer called Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) anti-Jewish, which is demonstrably true. Her ban was facilitated by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Zahra Billoo. She is suing both Twitter and CAIR over the ban. As usual, Twitter provided no reasoning for suspending Latinos for Trump.
Twitter suspended our user accounts without providing a warning and without providing a reason for the suspension, the press release said. We are still conducting an internal review of the situation but have found nothing to justify a suspension. What we have found is the suspect timing and comprehensive nature of the suspensions. These suspension [sic] came in less than 48 hours since President Trump held his rally in New Mexico. During this rally, numerous Hispanic supporters where seen on TV wearing Latinos for Trump T-shirts. In less than 48 hours later, all our leadership accounts were suspended by Twitter.
Interestingly, we reported earlier today that Twitter briefly suspended the account of the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) just days before a large conference in Phoenix, Arizona. The time of that suspension seemed suspicious, too.
Bianca Garcia, the president of Latinos for Trump and the person who signed the press release, called Twitters actions discriminatory, and claimed that they were behaving secretively.
Although Twitter claims to enforce their rules impartially and consistently and will let someone know about actions taken against your account and why, they have not. Although Twitter claims to be transparent about actions we take, they have not, the release said. We are deeply troubled by the overly secretive and discriminatory actions by Twitter management against our Latino based group. We also invite greater public scrutiny into the troubling actions of Twitter.
According to the release, the following accounts were suspended: @FabMagaDiva @reallatinos4US @WeAreAmericanos @HispanicTrumpTX @CassieJ_Tx @secureUSA45 @mgtz1995 @Spi3 @Spi3inc @orejitagirl @HenryGrullon4.
Once again, Twitter finds itself facing questions about alleged censorship of conservatives. Though the company claims that it has no political bias, instances of suspensions among conservatives abound. Many of the influencers who rallied their followers in support of President Donald J. Trump in 2016, including Loomer, Milo Yiannopoulos, Alex Jones, and Gavin McInnes, are all permanently banned from the platform.
While Congress and Trump have spoken about taking action to ensure that Big Tech cannot arbitrarily censor conservatives, progress has been slow. In the run up to 2020, it is going to be critical for Trump to have his most ardent supporters, including Latinos for Trump and the aforementioned banned individuals, to be active on social media.
Loomer writes about herself in the third person?
The American STASI hard at work dismantling our system bit- by-bit, with the blind, eager and the wholesale approval of America’s idiot, brainwashed, half-educated Liberal voters.
Big Tech is interfering in the 2020 election by disenfranchising one side’s supporters.
And the dicklss Democrats on the feckless FEC don’t give a damn
POTUS needs to find a new place to tweet. Wherever he chooses will be an instant success
Jimmy says to accuse them of racism very loudly
Chris doesn’t like social media anymore.
Chris thinks it’s time for social media to go.
Loomer writes about herself in the third person?
Thats always weird.
I think it’s time for republicans and other fair-minded Americans, and perhaps under an executive order from Trump, to create the alternatives to Twitter and Google and Facebook. It could start as a government project, with the eventual ownership by those not being represented by Google and Twitter and Facebook and Yahoo, and other left-wing sites.
I hate government intrusion and involvement in our lives, but then, Google and Twitter and Facebook and Yahoo, are basically operated by people who represent the left-wingers that would have our government fully controlled by left-wing politicians. If they can get away with what they’re doing, the alternate voices will be silenced completely.
As bad as govt. regulation is, these communist tech azzhats need to be de-platformed and re-categorized as a public utility and then have the living hell regulated out of em.
“It could start as a government project”
And here lies a problem, when was the last time government could be trusted, let alone trusted to do something right. It has never happened and probably never will.
Twitter will suspend President Trumps account before the election.
CASE IN POINT After a selectively edited video of the Covington Catholic teens went viral on Twitter, verified, bluecheck accounts accused the minor teens of mobbing and harassing a Native American activist the full video of what transpired proved this narrative to be a huge lie. *********
Verified accounts ran with the lie and called for the murder, physical assault and even sexual crimes to be committed against the children. These calls for violence against children clearly violate Twitters Terms of Service, however they took no action against the accounts. Every single account is still up. *********
Twitter has taken no action against these verified bluecheck accounts even though they blatantly violated the terms of service. In fact, hundreds of people reported House Shoes, a Los Angeles-based DJ who called for the Covington Catholic kids to be burned alive and Twitter said in a response that his tweets did not violate the rules. This pattern and practice of making death threats proves that Twitter is not a common carrier; its executives should be liable for crimes committed using that service.
SOURCE WIKI---Twitter Initial public offering (IPO)
-On September 12, 2013, Twitter announced that it had filed papers with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ahead of a planned stock market listing. It revealed its prospectus in an 800-page filing. Twitter planned to raise US$1 billion as the basis for its stock market debut. The IPO filing states that 200,000,000+ monthly active users access Twitter and 500,000,000+ tweets per day are posted. In an October 15, 2013 amendment to their SEC S-1 filing, Twitter declared that they would list on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), quashing speculation that their stock would trade on the NASDAQ exchange. This decision was widely viewed to be a reaction to the botched initial public offering of Facebook.
On November 6, 2013, 70 million shares were priced at US$26 and issued by lead underwriter Goldman Sachs.
On November 7, 2013, the first day of trading on the NYSE, Twitter shares opened at $26.00 and closed at US$44.90, giving the company a valuation of around US$31 billion. The paperwork from show of November 7 that among the founders, Williams received a sum of US$2.56 billion and Dorsey received US$1.05 billion, while Costolos payment was US$345 million.
On February 5, 2014, Twitter published its first results as a public company, showing a net loss of $511 million in the fourth quarter of 2013.
On January 5, 2016, CEO Jack Dorsey commented on a report that Twitter planned to expand its character limit to 10,000 (private messages already had the longer limit as of July), requiring users to click to see anything beyond 140 characters. He said while Twitter would never lose that feeling of speed, users could do more with the text. In September 2016, Twitter shares rose 20% after a report that it had received takeover approaches. Potential buyers were Alphabet (parent company of Google), Microsoft, Salesforce.com, Verizon, and The Walt Disney Company. Twitters board of directors were open to a deal, which could have come by the end of 2016.
However, no deal was made, with reports in October stating that all the potential buyers dropped out partly due to concerns over abuse and harassment on the service.
In June 2017, Twitter revamped its dashboard to improve the new user experience.
Twitter acts as though they wont suffer any consequences for their blatant and biased censorship.
Not very long ago I had thought such a notion was ridiculous. Now, however...
[It could start as a government project, with the eventual ownership by those not being represented by Google and Twitter and Facebook and Yahoo, and other left-wing sites.]
You realize Trump is Jimmy?
