Whether Williams believes it or not is irrelevant. He gets paid big bucks to skillfully craft the "idiocy", hone it, burnish it, embellish it, downplay/up-play it, twist it and to present it to the viewing audience as an accomplished improv-type actor would be paid to do.
This is his mandated role as Fox's token black-leftist....and his survival over the past years proves he's capably doing what he's paid for, no more, no less.

Deep down in his heart and soul Juan Williams is both racist & hater combined...period. He fools very few folks...but Fox News keeps him employed as the token balanced race hater who makes believe he has an open mind....but....Gutfeld & Watters eat him alive every day!!!
Being a detailed negotiator my entire career, I can spot and finger, the low life, would be fair and balanced dude or gal in a New York minute. Williams fails that mantra, the second I walk in the room and hear his biased voice!!! He knows nothing, not one thing about fairness balance and equality..period... FNC should dump him!!!

But....his mantra at Fox is NOT to be "fair and balanced"....quite the opposite, indeed. That's why he was hired. He's extremely smart in marketing himself career-wise and even smarter money-wise. He's making big bucks and a nice nest egg by being openly biased.
He's NOT stupid, idiotic, etc. (as referred to numerous times up-thread). He's skillfully created a persona that puts the bread and butter on his table.......and he's very adept at doing what he's doing, however base it is.
That's why the continual ongoing TV appearances of smooth, clever, smart propaganda artists like Juan Williams are a danger to the Republic....and we can't toss them off lightly and pooh-pooh them like they're harmless and stupid loons.
