U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu has recommended moving forward with charges against Andrew McCabe, Fox News has learned, as the Justice Department rejects a last-ditch appeal from the former top FBI official.

McCabe appealed the decision of the U.S. attorney for Washington all the way up to the deputy attorney general, but the department rejected that request, according to a person familiar with the situation.

Don’t know, but at least an indictment is in the works.

But will anything come of this?

Once they prefer charges, I think something inevitably must come of this.

Waiting for the first one to turn state’s evidence in exchange for immunity.

If the trial is held in D.C. nothing will come of it.
You will never get a jury made up of fellow swamp monsters to convict one of their own.

Liu is a snake. She is playing politics. She first declined to prosecute, kicked it upstairs, they came back and said his appeal is a no-go and now she’s falling in line.

Glad to see Barr is showing some spine. Because without it these DC tap dancers would all point fingers up and down, left and right, hoping the public tires of it and banishes it to the forgotten zone.

The only reason for this is they have solid evidence tying him to higher ups in the Obama Administration and possibly HRC Campaign or herself...................

This is certainly better news than what we have been receiving for the last three years, namely, DOJ DECLINED TO PROSECUTE.

We'll see....Comey got away with some of his cr**.

But this is different and I don't know the charges.

Tidbit...McCabe.....In Comey's memos, the President asked about McCabe and I believe it was related to Flynn....

Comey told the President....You'll like him (McCabe).

Go back and read those memos. They are the clearest indication of a setup by Comey and friends.

I agree. They’ve spent their entire federal careers winking at each other with a virtual hive-five signaling they control the game. The DC jury drawn from DC is part of the landscape.

An indictment might get McCabe’s attention and cooperation. If he wants to be the fall guy for the attempted coup, so be it. This is just the beginning. McCabe is vulnerable in other areas beyond just lying to the FBI. Lying on the FISA request is another area of vulnerability.

Yes, an indictment. However, the trial will occur in the DC District Court, where, given the nature of the jury pool, a conviction will be hart to obtain. Also, since the Constitution requires any trial to be held in the district where the alleged crime occurred, there won’t be any change of venue and AG Barr can’t be criticized for the location of the trial.

I disagree. I served on a jury in nearby Fairfax County involving a homicide charge. It was not political, but being on a jury was an edifying experience. Jurors take their jobs seriously and want to be fair.

If a predominantly black jury is put in place to judge McCabe, I think they will have no problem putting a dirty cop in jail.
