A little warm but the breeze made it more bearable. We did walk the beach some. Also Giz did a little bit of rolling around and sniffing on grass.

We have rain and storms in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning. We'll see what happens.

Not handy enough to get me to have a cell phone. Never wanted one and don’t see that I ever will. If I’m not home, I’m out and about doing things and don’t want to be interrupted. People can call the house, leave a message, and I’ll call them when I get home.
I’ve made it this far in life without one and can get through the rest of life without one. :-)

You’re lucky if it was just a little warm. We’re dealing with record heat this week and still have several days before it breaks. Definitely sit in front of the A/C weather.

Glad you were able to get out to romp with Gizmo. It sounds like he had a grand time.

He sure did. I kept him on a leash for some of the trip so he wouldn’t try to run over to the campground. I wanted to stay in the park.

The grounding of all planes was dramatic up here...so quiet at the airport and small plane airports. Then the jets out of Elmendorf....a sweet sound.

No doubt a smart decision.

Now...I’d better go. I have watched as much as I can about the tragedy of 9-11...and it’s time to head out. See ya tomorrow!

Hanging from the top was a large American flag and hanging from that was a fireman’s axe. I had to sit at the stop sign for a minute until my vision cleared enough to be able to drive. Tears.

Lots of listening to "news" reports and recollections on the radio at work. Tears as well....

Well, at least he had some time free of the leash to roam. Good thing you keep it handy though.

I recall hearing stories of fisherman and/or hunters that were flown into remote camps to be picked up in a couple of days.

No plane.

Okay - sort of bad weather, we’ll wait another day.

No plane.

After a few more days they start to wonder if their plane crashed on the way in. Do we try to hike out. Etc.

As they say, different stroke for different folks, an cell phones are one of my strokes. :-)

The shows ended on TV a couple of hours ago so I’m unwinding now. Have the laser mousie “dot” running all over the room for the kittehs to chase. A little laughter is in order.

Sleep well! I hope Peaches is outside.

That is exactly what happened. They were dropped off, to be picked up on date certain, but no planes.

I don’t remember all the details, but we had to get some special exemptions to get folks home. Not very many roads up here.

Let’s not forget the September 11, 2012 attack in Benghazi.

And I don’t mean whose fault it was BUT the Americans who fought and died that day.
