Walmart customers typically want cheap stuff, and Hornady doesn’t really look to sell in that marketplace.

Walmarts’ decision is some pretty weak-@ss virtue signaling, but to be fair, other large retailers like Target don’t sell much of anything related to shooting or hunting. I don’t think Target even sells BB guns.

"It’s just time to draw the line and quit Wal-Mart on all shopping requirements, period. You have other options, and the money tends to stay in your local region."

I am gradually implementing that policy. Much of what I buy at WM can also be found at HEB and Costco at equal or better prices, and quality, not to mention customer service.

I don’t think it would cost them anything to reshelve the merchandise. It would just require the help to do more work than they’re accustomed to doing.

Yup. WalMart’s decision hurt the poor more than anyone else. Most of their handgun and “ military” caliber rifle ammo was cheap imported stuff.

It might not cost them more, but they will definitely notice it...and that’s the point. Maybe if it literally cost them something they’d notice faster, but having to restock a cart or 2 in every store every week, especially after someone spoke with a supervisor or manager, would be noticed.

I remember the primary for the 10th district in 2000 that Mark Kirk won.

One of the a-hole RINOs bragged that he stopped selling ammo at his Dick’s Sporting Goods store or whatever, a genius strategy for a GOP primary even at the height of Columbine-mania. He came in 4th, I think.

I didn’t know about that candidate, since I didn’t live in the Chicago area, at that time. That race had 11 Republicans. How many were conservative, and how many were moderate?

Kirk, RINO.

Runner-up Shawn Donnelly (a chick) sure sounded like a RINO,

Third place guy Northbrook Mayor Andrew Damisch, surely RINO

4th place is the store owner I mentioned, Andrew Hochberg.

5th Place was John Cox

6th Place, guy named Scott Phelps, I don’t know a thing about him

7th Place, Former State Rep. Thomas Latcher, he served one term 95-96 before narrowly losing a State Senate race to Terry Link in 1996. Remember when that seat was competitive? Sad lol. Lachner took pro-life money and then refused to vote for abortion restrictions according to the Chicago Tribune

8-11, who cares. Last place guy was a pro-wrestler

Donnelley and Hotchberg dominated the TV ads. I’m not sure if Kirk ran any in the primary.

Cox seems like the obvious vote, I think he was the only conservative, at least the only social conservative, but he’d have lost to Lauren Beth Gash in the general. Gash might have been a rat Senate candidate in 2004 if she had won. You think of all the little things that might have prevented it from being Obama.

“Human Events” called retiring incumbent John Porter a “liberal” Republican and believed Kirk a “moderate” and therefore an improvement.
