NRA sues San Francisco over terrorist declaration

The National Rifle Association sued San Francisco on Monday over the city's recent declaration that the gun-rights lobby is a "domestic terrorist organization."

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, accuses city officials of violating the gun lobby's free speech rights for political reasons and says the city is seeking to blacklist anyone associated with the NRA. It asks the court to step in "to instruct elected officials that freedom of speech means you cannot silence or punish those with whom you disagree."

Wouldn’t the next step be ban ira members in the city from having weapons and purge nra members from all public agencies

The finished all the required anal probes on the planet earth and moved on. Some settled in San Francisco where that skill could become a passion.

A big win in this case would send a strong message nation-wide.

The NRA has no weapons. It does not promote terror.

You wanna quash their 1st Amendment rights? You better be lashed down and ready for the ride.

If you bank at Wells Fargo, leave. Wells Fargo is San Francisco

This is especially true if you are a Wachovia hold over

the city’s recent declaration that the gun-rights lobby is a “domestic terrorist organization.”

The Feds should respond by declaring SF a ****hole city.

Seems like they put a lot of effort into this terror declaration, and that would have been more useful on crime, or cleaning streets, or fixing potholes. It used to be that people voted for those city commission folks who fixed things broke in your city. Now? They vote for political thugs who issue declarations on terror...for city action?

Question - in what environment would corruption in politics (i.e. stealing money from the public treasury) be the best?

Answer A - A city with a well run administration, one that is accountable to the people.

Answer B - A city on the verge of chaos, where every fringe groups gets a voice (and a piece of the pie)?

Answer B

Democrats do not want to solve problems, they love to be in crisis mode, there is money to be made if something is a crisis.

Have Democrats solved one problem, ever?

Where has the trillion of dollars gone that the Democrats (and I am sorry to say Republicans) have spent “solving” problems? It is all gone, never to be accounted for, never to get back.

The bigger the government, the more opportunity for corruption.

Getting involved in people’s lives (as opposed to allowing people to solve their own problems) is another opportunity for corruption.

San Francisco stinks. Have you been there lately. OMG. It is so bad. As soon as you walk out of your hotel you smell human poop. The workers cleaning it up try to get it all but a residue lingers. Really disgusting. Unless you absolutely have to be there on business, spare yourself the visit. So disgusting.

If they didn’t ask for a large punitive reward they are not being serious, they are going through face-saving motions.

Someone mentioned that they could possibly use NRA membership as a ‘red flag’ issue and thereby confiscate one’s guns.

So if you're sure to wear a flower in your hair it isn't enough any longer? Guess the 60s songs are outdated.

Good news.

Imho, the board of supervisors violations extend beyond the First amendment. For example, the Second and Fourteenth amendments too.

Not to include liable and slander statutes.

Definitely a First Amendment issue.

Government can’t be telling legal organizations to “abridge” their speech.

Please define a ‘legal organization’ vs. 1st A. Rights of association.

The problem is that the NRA’s lawsuit is being filed in a Federal Court in Northern California. No prize for guessing the court’s natural sympathy. Any jury for the lawsuit is going to be made up of Californians whose political sympathies are shown by current California politics. That and the fact that any fine levied against the City & County of SF will be coming out of residents’ pockets.

President Trump (and people who worked for him charged with crimes) faces the same problem. Juries in DC and NYC are highly predisposed to find anyone associated with him to be guilty on just that alone.

There’s more going on here than meets the eye.
Yeah...poop-infested SF (home of the demonic, vile Botoxian) is the starting point for this, but they’re pushing & hoping it will gain nationwide traction.
The communists’ plans are to get the NRA declared a “domestic terrorist organization”, subpoena the membership list, take the list to a communist judge and have EVERY MEMBER red-flagged!!! They envision millions of guns being removed from law-abiding Americans via of this method. I envision that it will become “hell on earth”....for them.
The NRA needs to sue em and sue em good....all the way to bankruptcy. Then, sue SOBs again just for good measure.
