Iran is using advanced centrifuges banned under the 2015 nuclear deal to enrich uranium faster and well past limits set in the deal.
Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesman for Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, unveiled the Islamic country’s newest capabilities in a press conference on Saturday, according to the Associated Press. Kamalvandi addressed reporters while standing in front of 20 IR-6 centrifuges and 20 IR-4 centrifuges.
"Under current circumstances, the Islamic Republic of Iran is capable of increasing its enriched uranium stockpile as well as its enrichment levels and that is not just limited to 20%," Kamalvandi said. "We are capable inside the country to increase the enrichment much more beyond that."
Under the nuclear deal, Iran was limited to using just IR-1 centrifuges to enrich uranium. The more advanced iterations of centrifuges can enrich uranium at a much faster rate: 10 times faster for the IR-6s and five times faster for the IR-4s, according to Iranian officials.
The new centrifuges will likely shorten the one-year time frame experts had said Iran needs to be able to obtain enough weapons-grade uranium to build a nuclear bomb.
Kamalvandi said that Iran "is not after the bomb" but warned that "if Europeans want to make any decision, they should do it soon." Several European countries are attempting to strike another deal with Iran after President Trump pulled out of the 2015 nuclear treaty in 2018.
Defense Secretary Mark Esper of the United States said Iran's announcement was predictable, telling reporters at a press conference, "The Iranians are going to pursue what the Iranians have always intended to pursue."

So the deal never made Iran abandon the means for making weapons grade nuclear fuel. It only required Iran “promise” to keep it on the back burner - for 15 years. LOL
As we noted from the beginning the “deal” with Iran was ALWAYS just a means for Iran to bide its time, with a western improved economy, so later on down the road it could, at the end of the time period for the deal, announce the fait accompli - we always knew they already had.

It gets even worse than that.
The “Iran Nuclear Deal” was a fraud right from the start.
The goal all along was to release the Iranian assets that were frozen, some for decades, as well as ending the sanctions placed against Iran because of its support of terrorism.
President Obama always had the unilateral right to end sanctions and release frozen assets, which is exactly wanted to do and ultimately actually did.
This was politically very damaging so Obama wanted cover from Congress in the form of a formal agreement
Congress went along, in retrospect it seems because of a combination of massive bribes and perhaps a well targeted blackmail and intimidation campaign
The “deal” Obama ultimately negotiated was outright treason
It fully funded the Iranian/North Korean nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs development, manufacturing and deployment phases
It committed the US to cooperate with Iran in classified intelligence ( sources and methods included) sharing of ISR information on Israel and its plans to attack Iranian nuclear weapons and also to use US military assets to defend actively Iran against any Israeli attack
It also formally required the US to provide Iran with any “non weapons” nuclear technology that Iran demanded. This is de facto providing Iran with access to US nuclear technology with weapons applications because any nuclear technology, except for a very limited amount of specialized warhead tech , is fundamentally dual use and can be used in weapons programs
We committed Iran to absolutely nothing as they never adopted the document and the primary aim was to delay ( not prevent) the processing of weapons grade uranium by Iran.
This had absolutely no negative impact on Iran’s weapons programs as Iran’s North Korean partner had already turned the corner on weapons grade processing and Iran had already subcontracted weapons grade uranium enrichment to North Korea - a fact Obama was fully aware of and do nothing to prevent.
Depends upon when Iran and her allies (Turkey, Russia, Libya, etc.) decide to make a move.
Expect Libya to get even worse and become more buddy-buddy with Iran.
