Thursday during an appearance on Huntsville, AL radio’s WVNN, Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) argued that although House Democrats will likely pass a number of gun control bills that will not make it through the U.S. Senate, the long-term strategy was to get at the Second Amendment’s right to bear arms.
Brooks told “The Jeff Poor Show” it was an incremental process Democrats are using to erode support for the right to bear arms.
“The Democrats, Nancy Pelosi — they believe they have a winning issue here,” Brooks said. “So they’re going to force vote after vote om ultimately repealing the Second Amendment right to bear arms. Now, they’re smart enough not to do it all at once. What they will do is attack the right to bear arms incrementally until such time that the number of people who own arms and who believe in the Second Amendment right of self-defense — they will be in a minority and at that point, you can expect that the Democrats will move for an outright repeal of the Second Amendment.”
“Now, that’s a gradual thing,” he continued. “It’s not going to happen overnight. In my judgment, it won’t happen this year or next year, four or five or six years from now. But the long-term strategy of the Democratic Party is to eliminate the Second Amendment right to bear arms. And the way that they do that is by eroding the support for the Second Amendment right to bear arms a little bit at a time in their minds, at least, a majority of the American people are opposed to the Second Amendment.”

Actually eliminating the 2A is a long term TACTIC in gaining their long-term STRATEGY AND OBJECTIVE of Worldwide Totalitarian Government which at some point will happen - but not yet - under the heading of Worldwide Islamic Supremacy.

A political party or government that doesn’t trust the people is not a political party or government the people should trust.
Which is why the Founding Fathers specifically wrote the requirement for super-majorities across our whole society in order to change the Constitution.
It would take hundreds of centuries for American criminals, even with a few Adam Lanzas and Dylan Klebolds thrown in, to equal the number of legally disarmed citizens that governments murdered in just the 20th century alone.
I see that the New York Post editorial page writers have now gone the way of background checks for private sales. Never mind that this is totally unenforceable.
Unenforceable without a totalitarian state, that is.
Which do they want more? Hard to say, since the two go hand in hand.
Chiseling away at our commitment to our rights is the name of the game.
Think back to the McCarthy era. So many people thought he was crazy. And now look at how things have changed since then.
The DemonRATs are following the game plan of 1930’s Germany & Venezuela regarding guns. Take away people’s guns & create terrorized slaves to obey the Elites.
Elimination of the 2A is just a step in their ultimate goal of eliminating all opposition to their plans for total dictatorship.
The Second Amendment is the way station to the ultimate prize, getting rid of the First Amendment.
My long term strategy is to eliminate the Democrat party. Expose their socialist goals as taking away freedom and individual rights. Chip away their voter base until they’re a permanent minority or they move to the center and away from the crazy lefties.
How about John Paul Stevens, a man who served on the Supreme Court for 35 year after taking an oath which reads:
“I, _________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”
and further a judicial oath, which in 1975 read:
“I, _________, do solemnly swear or affirm that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as _________, according to the best of my abilities and understanding, agreeably to the constitution and laws of the United States. So help me God.”
in is dotage calling for repeal of the 2nd amendment? Someone who was obligated to bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution asking that the 2nd amendment be nullified? That was a shocking piece of news that really takes your breath away.
I think it is time to seriously threaten the 1st and scare the hell out of them, especially freedom of the press to lie, just to make a strong tit for tat counterpoint. Let them know that if they compromise the 2nd anymore then the 1st freedom of the press is also just as open for compromise. Without the dishonest press propaganda machine, their game and agenda is completely done and over. The press have actually caused many deaths also. Just a serious effort, action, and threat in that direction will make them backtrack. what’s good for the goose is then also good for the gander...
The Long-Term Strategy of the Democratic Party Is to Eliminate the Second Amendment’
My recommendation is to buy guns and ammo now and store or hide it. Burying it in your yard is always a nice plan. Just make sure it is secure and safe from the elements like water.
