No synthetic fibers including Kevlar, Polyester and Rayon.
No synthetic rubber; everything from blood bags to chewing gum to tires... gone.
No plastics; Polyethylene, Polypropylene, PVC, Vinyl and others
Almost all lubricants gone. Not just oil and grease for machinery, but Vaseline and food equipment greases.
Fuels of all kinds; Jet, Gasoline, Diesel, Fuel Oil for ships and homes, Natural Gas (that generates around half our electricity), Propane, Butane
The list of products made from the oil and gas industry is almost endless... and if they lose the fuels end of the business the rest may not be viable anymore.
