Forgot about that.
Seems like a million years ago.
Went to give blood right away.
Lost a few fireman friends, ironically to cancer and not the collapse.
The day that two beautiful, majestic buildings fell and a naive innocence was lost by many, including myself.
We learned nothing.
Islam has been at war with the rest of humanity for 1397 years.
After the biggest attack on the USA our President tells us that “Islam is a religion of peace”.
Denial is getting people killed.
I was working at a trade show some months back and met and chitchated a bit with one of the last remaining survivors of the 9/11 firefighters heroes. He was joking about his weight, and then the conversation continued and he explained that he had gained a hundred lbs+ due to his cancer treatments. It’s one of those things that escapes your mind with everything else happening in this country, but damn if it didn’t make me sad.
